I know this may not be holiday related but I am trying to finf some info on My Grandad who trained locals on the Island for the resistance movement in the war.
He has now passed away but from what I am hearing is a legend with the older locals on the island and some where on the Island is a photo in a bar of him and the two other special ops that where dropped on the Island by submarine.
The owner of the bar probabaly now himself long gone was the leader of the resistance movement on the Island but he had a son working at the Bar which I hope he still has.
Is there any radio stations on the Island that can help in my quest of finding this man or a news paper that I can write too that will understand English.
He was know to the people of Rhodes as Dicky and it seems was in a sort of sas /sbs commando unit.
