It's sounding good, thanks. nic, did you have any experience of the kids clubs, think mine were spoilt at Lykia as there was so much to do for them there, also is there any opportunity for them in the evening so the adults can have a meal alone? Are any of the restaurants outdoor, we did so enjoy that aspect.

Is there a decent gym? (Important for husband and son, not me!)

What is the scenery like? (It was Lykia's beautiful setting and the views that were the best part for me!)

A pity the Gatwick flight times for next year are ghastly though.

The Birmingham one is horrendous too, and into Bodrum so a long trnasfer.

BA fly to Izmir from Gatwick and Turkish Airlines from Stansted at fairly good times, so maybe a DIY would be better?

I'm not brave enough for DIY mehmeh

kids club was good but not as good as other first choice holidays we have been on, you dont get any kids club hats/tshirts/bottles/watches/wallets, i dont know about the wave length one though, fom 3 to 8's there were 2 reps, they had a couple of days off per week, but saturdays and mondays they had a movie night from about 935 after kids disco till 11, on the saturday they provided munchies so it would cost £4, every sunday was chocolate or sweetie party £4 for 2 hours in the afternoon, they also had the 4 hour trip on a thursday to a local turkish farm that cost £12 and another day was a turkish party and they had regular free sessions during the week.

As to outdoor at restaurants, we only visited the steak house and both times we were outside, i did notice the chinese had an outdoor bit. plus the main restaurants you can sit inside or out.

they do have a gym which i didnt use but it look pretty well stocked this was on the club side next to the indoor pool that was open.

the international kids club they had there which was run seperate from fist choice looked better, they all went and had there own kids buffet everynight and then onto the kids disco till 9.30, also there accomadation looked really cool

Thanks for that. Can you join the other kids club?

Fly out on monday - just a quick one to anyone who has been, are their many mozzies at aqua? and what is the towel situation - went to holiday village last year and most days they ran out of clean towels. Many thanks to anyone who replys and whooo hooo only 2 more sleeps till we go

We didnt see any mozzies while we were there in July. With regards to towels, we took our own and so did everyone else I think? Not sure whether the hotel provides them or not? There are pads on all the sunbeds as well. Wish we were still there!

Have a great time carl 01 and I look forward to hearing your review as we are going next June. We loved not having to take 6 heavy towels with us to Lykia so if you don't need them please let me know.

Going to Agua Fantasy with my family at the end of August and really looking forward to it. does any one know what the height restrictions are in the water park, my daughter will be eight but she is a shorty.

are you able to hire towels??

:P

Wife, two kids (6 and 5) and myself spent two weeks here in July and loved every second of it.

We would recommend it to anyone, so much to do in the resort itself and the kids clubs are great.

spuddlerdigs - WRT the aqua park, my eldest who is six was allowed on all the rides exect the fastes one so I would imagine your eight year old will be fine. I never seen anywhere that you can hire towels, you do get plenty in your room and there is shops in the resort in which you cna buy them as well

We done the "Ship Ahoy" boat trip which cost us £48 in total which I though was great value.

We got picked up around 9am at the hotel by bus and got taken to the harbour at Kusadasi (abouy 15mins drive) Took a 2hr criuse to a small secluded beach in the Med and was allowed to swim to the beach. After an hour or so we went back on the boat and had lunch then taken out into the Med and were allowed to jump off the ship and have a swim whilst jets kits/banana boats etc came over for us to have a shot on (there is a cost for them). We got back to the hotel around 4pm Fantastic day and well worth the money.

There are also trips to Ephesus which I had wished I had done but thought the kids would be bored as most of the trip is viewing ancinet ruins. There are various other trips inc the Jeep Safari.

Couple of musts for you is go and have a proper Turkish Bath in Kusadasi, the Holiday Rep will have the details and you have to visit "Planet Yukka " which is in Kusadasi

i have read about planet yucca many times and have already said to other half must go.
that sounds like alot of funny as well as relaxing, just the sort of thing i like on holiday.
We are trying to work out how much money we will need to take as first time A/I.

We took £700 worth of Turkish Lira, £100 worth of Euro's £50 in Sterling and we found that enough. £850 in total

We spent a lot on photos (around £150  ) as there are always photographers going around. A meal for four at Planet Yukka is around £50 which is good value.

We never spent money on drinks or food after 11pm as we were almost always in bed as the kids got tired after the show.

Thats really helpful thanks.

Just can't wait to get over there now, just over two weeks to go.

You'll enjoy it mate, I have no doubts.

One thing I would advise if you want a sunbed(s) beside the pools, get down there around 7.30/7.45 then go back to bed :D
We went down some mornings at around 8am and struggled to find three or four together, mind you if you don;'t get one at the pool you can always get one at the beach without any problem, or even better the water park does not open until 10.30 and you will have no problems getting one there.

Enjoy!!
