any any 1 help me.
i would like to know who you lot normal book with for this hotel or do u go diy.
thanks
We have booked the Oasis for a week on 29 September, really looking forward to it.
I left it quite late in the season as I was hoping most of the stag and hen parties will be gone by then, our holiday in the Meditteraneo up the road last July was some what dampened by them last year!.
I am going to email them and request a low floor room? does anyone know what the lowest floor is and is it best to face the pool or back for noise levels? as I have a 5 year old and a 10 month old.
Also is there any parking at the hotel and what does it cost as we will be hiring a car from Alicante. It cost us about 10 euros a day last year in the Meditteraneo!
Thanks
Katy
Floors start from level 1 - but be careful, if you are very low down & near the main building then noise from the aircon on the main building can be a problem.
We were on level 3 - low enough not to be giddy when looking over & high enough not to hear the air con on the main building.
Sorry, don't know about the car parking.
There were some hen & stag parties there when we were there but I must say they didn't bother us one bit. Security is very strict about noise at night & they were warned by the guard before they left the hotel in the evening NOT to be noisy on their return or they would be be put out.
The kids slept through the afternoon noise though as they were usually whacked tired after being in the pool & playing all day - in the evening we would stay out till midnight so it was never a problem in the night!!
If this would be a problem I would suggest a room around the side of the hotel might be better (none at the back)
Thanks fitzmum for the warnings about the air noise, we had that in one hotel we were in sooo annoying.
You cant see the pool on floor 1 bedrooms they all sit and overlook on to the restaraunt roof.....
We were on Floor 1 at the end next to the soccer pitch which was very quiet at nights. We heard no noise during the two weeks we were there.
Thanks northants, sounds like a good room. Less time in the lift the better. My baby really doesn't like lifts (maybe Benidorm wasn't such a good idea after all)

Parking is free at the Flamingo Oasis.

i am looking at going back to the flamingo oasis next september 2008. does anyone know of any good prices or packages from liverpool?
The price was reasonable for August and there was not a overly massive differance for the other hotels, So we just went for it!
So yet another long count down begins
Danny
Oh Danny, can you imagine the sunbed run in August. Have fun.
Hi Cazz yes im prepeared for the run if needs be
Anyway, could anyone tell me if they do pool towels at the hotel? Need to know before I decide whether to pay for extra baggage allowance...
could anyone tell me if they do pool towels at the hotel
No they don't do pool towels at the Flamingo Oasis.
However towels are very cheap to buy in the resort but when they are new, they aren't very absorbent.
Sue
Still umm-ing and ahh-ing about the weather
We booked this hotel mainly on the reviews of this hotel on previous years. Has anyone been this year who had gone previous years, would you say it has gone down hill too?, did you find the drinks to be watered down? Maybe these people didn't like Benidorm and were on a downer anyway, we like Benidorm so that may help.
I appreciate some people will always have bad things to say about hotels, and I appreciate they do their best to cater for the British culinary tastes, but this hotel did cost us rather alot.
Thanks
Katy
It was the fact that they seemed to serve the same food over & over again - loads of beef (great if you like it) chips, paella, and sometimes strange concoctions - things were recycled from breakfast (once we saw chopped sausages & tomato on top of a slice of bread with a slice of cheese on top at the evening dinner and this was called 'house special' but obviously recycled breakfast!!
Same old desserts every night - I got sick of the coloured jellies & mousses and pretend gateaux. Don't get me wrong - we always found something to eat but back in 2003 we have fab gala dinners with carveries, show cooking. Now the main meat was always beef or very salty ham (would have loved some chicken!!) and beef in some kind of sauce. The oriental night was again lots of beef in nondescript sauce.
I wouldn't not go there just because of the food - we would definitely retun but the eating experience wasn't as great this time around - the noise in the restaurant was deafening with chairs being scraped along - kids screaming etc - we would go in - eat up quickly & get out - no lingering over our meal!
If you need any other questions answered just PM me!!
Cheers
I'm not sure if this helps, or is appropriate here, but I will add it anyway. I understand that all the Hotels that used to hold special *Themed Dinners* that were prepared on a table at the top of the Dinning Room which a Chef have had to be stopped due to Health & Safety reasons. Apparantley there could be a risk to guests of some sort from "show cooking" so the powers that be in Benidorm stopped this practice. I was informed of this by the Dining Room manager in the Venus Hotel.
Must say that it wasnt noisy though, but I think thats purely the time of year we went. We will be going back in November.
Was shocked to read that chicken wasn't readily available as it was available most nights. With of course, beef, lamb, and sometimes fresh salmon.
Wonder if the food is different summer/winter seasons ?
Incidentally they always had a chef serving up some form of carvery every night.
