Hi Carol,

I've used OTB plenty of times and yes they do pull some fast ones if they can get away with it but all in all they're a good company IMO from past experience and I wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future.

Just one tip really, hit the contact us button on the site and RING them, I've always had great and prompt service on the phone as oppose to waiting for them to reply to an email :?

Good luck

Hi again, just to update, OTB phoned my OH today to say that the flights we had booked had all gone, but they could offer us different ones for an extra £400 - no thank you!!

I then went to book one with Regal Holidays that I had my eye on and within 5 minutes of the booking coming up saying we had made a "request" and me having a feeling of deja vu, they rang to say that there was only one flight seat left but they could offer me an alternative for more money!!

I have never had this before, usually as soon as I book, I get a confirmation, followed by my tickets no problem.

Is this a risk with all D.I.Y or have we been unlucky?

We are now left looking as though we will have NO holiday, when the kids thought they were going on Friday if not Monday.

Can anybody help with any suggestions? We are looking for All Inclusive, anyhere, leaving Friday after 08.30 pm, coming back by Monday 3rd September quite early evening. Our budget is approximately £1500.

2 adults, 1 teenager aged 18 and 1 child aged 11.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, if you are doing a DIY holiday then I would book direct with the airline and direct with hotel. I booked with sunmaster and got the dreaded phonecall saying that my flights had gone up! You dont get that with booking direct and you get an email confirming immediatly. Also you could look for late deals from the tour opertators. Where are you flying from?

Just for info we had similar problem this week with travel co offering us flights from Gatwick not Manchester so I DIYed the flights myself using travelsupermarket website and booked via ebookers - the tickets arrived next day spot on for the flights we wanted. I had one scarey moment when the website crashed after my purchase but the confirmation arrived in my inbox within 10 minutes and I am really impressed how quickly we got the tickets.

The travelsupermarket site comes up with a selection of flight operators and flight times ours ranged from £200+ to £2000 so there were lots of options and we noticed some of the operators offered the same flights at double the price!

I'll let you know how it all goes when I get back in a few weeks!

There is a topic on Promotional Codes in the General Holiday Enquiries forum, but I can't remember seeing one for OTB.
