just managed to get on my pc as my children have been hogging it for 5 weeks haha ,i am now up to date on all the goss ,first i would like to say i spoke to zorro about him leaving in june he said that he was staying for next season and maybe the one after as he had bought some apartments in costa rica for adults only i was not the first to mention this so i think he is either pulling our legs or can't make his mind up i hope he stays as he is fantastic as are all the team they make up for the thomson lot haha .next can someone pm me with the ymca clip it sounds brill and i need to top up my sam miguel meter especially with this weather ,and last of all i am staying at the hotel next year but the option for a late checkout room was not on my booking as was when i went with the beach club ,would i be able to do it through the hotel myself?now? thankyou it is great to read about other people who have enjoyed their stay at the san miguel i can't wait till next year not long?????.....................

Anyone who wants to watch the ymca video, just go onto the home page of the video hosting site - surely you've all heard of it - and just type in san miguel hotel. There are two clips on there. As for the late check out rooms you can book these directly with reception, it is cheaper than booking it through thomsons as thomsons obviously take a cut for doing it for you.

Actually, there's three clips - there's the YMCA one, there's the finale of Boogie Nights from the same person, and there's a clip from a while ago of an awful rapper who auditioned for X-Factor, and did a "turn" at San Miguel

It would be a real shame if Zorro left We are not planning on going back anytime soon, we've "been there, done that" now, but it would be nice to know he's there if we're ever looking for a last-minute chill week.

We went 1st two weeks July this year. We are going later next year as we don't want to take the kids out of school.
So if you go 2nd August we'll see you there. It'll be good to put a face to another name. We've met up with a few members over the years.

So not many of you then!! How crowded do the pools get at that time of the year? We've always been late June / early July. That's the only thing we're a bit apprehensive about. The time of year we usually go we've never had a problem getting a sunbed in a decent spot.

well we try and get around the slide side and i was up about 6.15-6.30 to get a sun bed not just to get a good spot but just to get a sunbed that time of year the hotel and beach club tend to be fully booked,what they should do is build a bigger pool for the hotel,what we found was that people from the hotel were putting doen towels and not coming down till 2.30pm

Best I set the alarm clock for the wife to get up then!! That's where we usually sit round by the slide.

Not a bad idea. Then again people would probably start queueing at 5 in the morning.

We're off for the 3rd time next year, 28th May for 2 weeks Missed a year this year, and went to Mallorca, was a good holiday but not quite the same

We've been in May and July before, must say I preferred May though, much quieter, but busy enough for a good atmosphere
