Milk in Tukey is called Sut (pronounced a bit like soot).
I normally buy the longlife milk, but the larger supermarkets sell fresh milk too.
The green carton is the full fat, and the blue carton is the skimmed (think it's called Sut Lite)
I've never noticed semi-skimmed out there. You could always pour half a litre of full fat with half a litre of skimmed to make some semi-skimmed yourself.
Strawberry
milk is milk, i get it with a blue lid on it, does what it says!
Please don't buy AYRAN, umless you specifically want a yoghurt drink!

hiya, we like pinar long life................. oh and i love ayran
I know that this probebly sounds stupid - but can you buy semi skimmed milk in Turkey and if so what is it called, I cant stand full fat milk!!
last time we went it was all uht milk which isnt very nice any way but i think semi is in the green cartons
Thanks loz37
we only saw uht as well 1lt cartons in most supermarkets serving holiday makers
You can get fresh milk which is so much better than UHT - look for it in the bigger supermarkets, Tansas, Migros, Carrefour and Kipa. It called Taze Sut.Plastic bottle with a red top. Don't know whether it's full or semi milk, I don't take milk but my wife says it's so much better than the UHT stuff.
Sutas is the name, taze sut and has a picture of a cow on it. Yorsan also do one
I never saw semi skimmed milk all the time I lived there. You will only get fresh milk in the bigger supermarkets and I always found it went off very quickly in the heat, unlike milk here you need to drink it within a day or two of buying it.
