Hi Sym, I dont really know, I used to use ice and spice on occassions over the years, saw the new sign when walking past then yesterday got a leaflet on the beach, which says Multi cuisine 12.00pm-01.00 live music tues and thurs by Elvis [Not the ONE surely] and Jonathan, Indian, Italian, Tandorooi, Goan, Continental, Sunday roasts. I will try to do a visit, poss Sun.

Mardon,
Bistros shack (next to Drop Anchor) is up and running......at least it was yesterday morning when I was on the beach - can't say if it'll still be there now though as the Tourism Department pulled more shacks down yesterday afternoon.

Lynn - re ice n spice. Thanks. We always liked the atmosphere in ice n spice and they served great food. We were quite looking forward to seeing all the guys there when we go in 4 weeks. Hope it's not changed too much...our little boy loved the free pool table.
Hi - where abouts is L' Orange ( Ice and Spice) ?
Thanks
Thanks
Over the flames is opening it's doors at their new premises tomorrow night. The new place is what was once called Prems (in front of After 7). They also have a new place in Candolim (Octopus Garden), this one is already open. The old Over the flames on Baga Road is now called Simply South and is run by the same people from I95.
Barista Coffee has also opened up in front of After 7 with a second outlet due to open on Baga Road next week.

Simply South sounds interesting being run by the people from I95, which has to be one of my personal favourites. Will have to make sure we visit when we get there in December.
Golden flipflop - have you seen Sublime open - is it still by riverside? Didn't go last year so am unaware
thanks Lyn
thanks Lyn
Goanluv it was still there last year and as far as I'm aware they intended to open this season also - if the bridge works have finished it will be much better, the poor things really sufferend last year
Sublime really suffered last year, went a few times and the food and service were excellent. Really hope they are open this year.
Hi Lyn.....long time no speak, hope you are well!!
Not sure about Sublime? I noticed a few men pottering about in the grounds when I last went to Lila cafe. I'll update you when I can.

Hi GFF, you been into Bending Bamboo's in Candolim (new place that opened up last year on the main road). I really liked it in there (apart from all the mozzie bites!!)
I agree with you there (Bending Bamboo's) Candy64 nice bar very friendly but too much foliage mossies everywhere, we only went in once but will give it another go if it's still there in March.

Candy, Not tried bending bamboos - stick to Mango across the road (purely out of habit)!! BB is up and running so maybe I'll give it a try.
Heard a whisper that Ram (cactus) is opening a second place, does anybody know if theres any truth in it??
Lyn, drove across the new bridge yesterday morning and it looks like sublime is open but I hear the Brit couple are not involved?

Hi GFF
thanks for that, can't say I am sorry about the Brit couple preferred the ambience when just the chef ran it on the back road to Calungute will give it a go next month. Whats the new bridge like and has the old one been demolished??
thanks

Lyn,
You must try Chris' sublime at Anjuna (he's the original chef from the backroad in Calangute). Not sure if open just yet though?
The bridge is really good....well it couldn't be any worse could it. The new approach road from Baga is excellent, it has white lines and proper street lighting....getting a bit posh over here now don't you know

Hiya Lyn,
Chris operated up at Anjuna last season and he kept his original name "Sublime". Although the place was a little rough around the edges the food was as fantastic as ever. I'll update you when I know for sure that he's open.

We ate at Chris's Sublime in Anjuna last Christmas, a friend of ours took us there. He didn't sell alcohol at the time and David had to go down the road to buy some.
Not sure if this was going to be a temporary problem or whether he would be serving alcohol in the future.
The food was lovely, but as you say GFF, a little rough around the edges in terms of decor, but lovely nevertheless.
