I think there is a bug in their pricing - I checked a few days ago, and could find returns for under £60 -
"On the 4th January 2008 British Airways has confirmed that it will continue to fly a daily service from London Gatwick to Malta and London Gatwick to Paphos, replacing the routes currently operated by its franchise partner GB Airways.
From 30 March 2008, the flight to Malta will be operated by BA mainline offering both Economy and Club Europe cabins. Flight prices will lead in at £36.00 per person one-way including taxes"
Looks like they'll be cheaper than Easyjet or Ryan Air, with seat reservation on-line, food and free drink that the other low service airlines don't offer at all
