After having several holidays in Tenerife and many discussions about the possibility of moving abroad, we are starting to think more seriously about buying somewhere there. We are only in our 30's so would want to buy somewhere we could holiday, but also let out to help pay the mortgage with the view to eventually retiring there, keeping our place here and renting this out and living there. We have some savings but at the moment they are tied up for another 2 years which gives us time to do some research, save some more money and hopefully learn some Spanish!

The problem is I don't know where to start as regards finding out what we need to know, is there a website, a book or anyone with words of wisdom with definate do's and don'ts who can share them with us? Maybe this very thing has already been discussed on here and there's a link or 2 someone could provide?
