off to goa on the 25th always take cash with me. is there any prob. in changing the old style £20 notes or is it better to take the new ones.
thanks all. andy
Thats the way I always take our money, and I was a bit worried when we went last month, we used several different places without any problem. Smaller change places sit on their notes anyway until the rates at it's peak, for example, just now I reckon they'll be holding on to the £s as the rate is a few Rps down since last month. Alan
Watch out for torn notes or any with writting on.they are not keen on them
and check they do not try to pass any torn rupies on when you change money
have a great time
Pat
was out there last week and they took both old and the new notes, there is nothing to worry about only don't get burnt its bloody roasting out there at present, have a good time fella......jxk8.
thanks all. only 9 more days to survie this rain and then
I usually take 20's as well so might try just tenners but that doubles the size of the wad. I brought about £50 worth of Rupees home with me last time so I didn't have to change any in the airport for taxis etc and have had the house upsdie down but can't find them anywhere.
Only 5 more days to go for me.
