I can't help you with any of these sites but having seen some pretty horrific site-owned/managed accommodation over the years I wouldn't book anything without a recommendation.

We have been to Ma Prairie with our van a few years ago

the campsite is separated from the amenities (bar/pool/ playarea) by a small road so the main site is nice and quiet at night

Can't point you in the direction of my pictures 'cos I removed them last year but they are a Kawan Village so you can access info on the Camping Cheques website AND they take Camping cheques all year round but with suppliments for high season and extra people

I have a report of My stay with pictures here though so it may help you

We will probably pop in again around May time on our way down to Spain

Thanks Gray, We are probably going to book this site due to yours and others good reviews.

My only concern is the evening entertainment for my 7 year old daughter. She is at that age where she really likes an evening show. The quiet meal for 3 with mum and dad doesn't really do it anymore. During July/August will Ma Prairie have something organised during the evening ?

Just checked out the website (http://www.maprairie.com/index2.php?lang=gb)they usually have live entertainments in July and August. Why not e-mail the Gils and ask them they are very nice folk and you should get an answer or phone them, they speak very good English

We've never been then -- usually we go either May /June or August /September

I find if you book in advance the prices at Eurocamp aren't too bad!

They are currently offering 20% off for family holidays booked now for summer 2009

Eurocamp are fine if you don't have your own equipment but compared to going on a DIY basis Eurocamp is very expensive

We are planning a 2 week trip again next year June/July time
our costs are planned at
Ferry £120
19 nights at 4/5 star Campsites £250-£275

which is a lot less than Eurocamp independant and we don't need to book either

No Barry

We have had the 'van for four years and it has only done 29250 miles so I think it's is paid for by now :tup
We do around 2500 miles in France and Spain over our 22 day holiday after doing Euro wotsit camping for a few years whilst the kids were growing up for us they priced themselves out of our budget range

Why do you think I'm the Madcaravanner
