Dear All
Has anybody just got back from Hotel Kanta,in PEK and been ill with a vomiting and tummy bug/virus?
My mum was there 3rd to 10th Feb and has now been hospitilized with this bug and doctors need to know if there was any illness at that hotel/area?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated as she is 80 years of age and very very poorly.
also, am not saying this is where she got the bug from but we need to eliminate things.

So sorry to hear that your mum has been so ill and do hope she's on the mend now. My daughter had this at New Year, though she didn't have to be hospitalised, and she hadn't been anywhere. Of course you need to try and track down the source of the illness, but there has been quite a lot of it here this winter and no-one seems able to find where it came from.

Thanks for the info, think from lack of response that there has not been any sickness bug at the hotel or in Tunisia in general so at least that can be ruled out.

I didn't actually know whether to reply just too say we have had the same thing in the UK as well but there has been quite a lot of it here so it doesn't look as if the hotel is necessarily to blame.
