We go on the 15th June and can't wait. Went to Lykia last year and that was fab but Aqua Fantasy came in alot cheaper at just under £2500 for the fortnight for the 6 of us, kids 11, 8 and twins 6. We have to book 2 rooms and pay for 4 adults, getting 2 free kids to get the best deals, it actually always works out cheaper than going SC this week as no under occupancy supplements. Hubby and I do have to split up but we have always got adjacent rooms and sometimes interconnecting ones after emailing the hotel direct though I never opt to pay a supplement for these.
My only concern is the food quality as the reviews are very variable on this so anyone with views on this much appreciated.
We too are all off to Aqua Fantasy in October for a fortnight there are 6 of us me and hubby and 4 kids 14,10,10,10. We too have had to get 2 rooms, but we opted for the family rooms, hoping we will get them adjacent or interconnecting. The thing that concerns me is that I hope the weather is OK, seemingly they had a few days of rain last year in October, but I suppose that is the luck of the draw. Looks fab for the kids and if they are happy then so am I. We paid £1.900 for the 6 of us, it works out cheaper to pay for 4 adults, that way you get 2 kids free, but you always have to book early to get these, we booked with Eclipse, which is the sister company to first choice.
Look forward to hearing from anyone that is going this year with your opinions.
im going in october aswell, from the 12th til' the 26th. i went 2 years ago and had such a good time! the place is amazing!
cant wait to get back! just feels so long away!
What time of year did you go last time, will the weather be warm enough in October. Which side would you recommend the world or club side?
when i was there it was only the one side, the club side i think its called. we have said that we would prefer to stay at the club side again as its closest to the waterpark and entertainment bit, also from the pictures of the new side i think the club side still looks better, its alot more spread out, whilst the world side looks abit crammed, with the rooms basically at the edge of the pool. im sure it wouldnt be that bad though, everyones welcome at both sides so you wouldnt be stuck at one all the time.
the place is kept really clean and allways looks great! theres allways staff going about including security guards by the beach and all entrances, so theres always someone to help.
its a fantastic place!

Never been to Turkey before. So looking forward to it. The kids are also really looking forward to the Waterpark, must admit it looks pretty amazing from the brochures. What is the food like, do they cater for kids and what is the deal with the a la carte restaurants are they extra?
oh turkeys a really nice place! make sure you go on the boat trip that first choice does, you stop off at the beach and get a bbq, its really nice, and depending on how old your kids are, they can jump off the boat into the crystal clear blue sea.
yeah you have to pay extra for the a la carte restuarants, but its well worth your money, you get a great amount of food and its of the best quality! we only went to one of them which was the steak house, as we thought the restaurant that was free was good enough to eat at every night. They have all different kinds of food, with all the british food which the kids enjoy, but then theres all other kinds aswell which means theres allways something different.
the kids also get free ice cream in the day, and theres pizza, burgers, doughnuts availale also.
theres also free soft drinks from machine sort of things that the kids just do themselves, or they get more choices at the bar.
id advise you not to buy food and drink in the waterpark, the prices are really expensive and its allways massive lines of the public (people who arent from the resort) that buys the food in there, it goes onto your splash card, and you pay at the end of your holiday, so its much better to just walk back to one of the bars or snack bars and get from there.
the waterparks great! you can just leave the kids to roam and do what they like, and theres soo many lifeguards and holiday reps who play with the children in the pool. i spent about everyday in the waterpark on the flumes
We have opted for 2 family rooms, do you know if the hotel have interconnecting rooms? As this would make life so much easier.
Are you flying into Izmir, How long is the transfer time? We have a pretty crap flight time as First Choice have changed it, Not too bad going out bu when we fly home it is about 2 in the morning, so hopefully will be able to keep the room on a bit longer. Have you done this before?
im going with another 8 people, but no kids, teenagers and adults. what ages are your kids? this place is like a heaven to kids! theres so much to do they'l never be bored! means you can just relax by the pool
emm, its kind of weird, sometimes you get a interconnecting room, but sometimes you get a room with kind of slidy doors seperating them. You'd probably just have to wait and see when you get there, but if it will cause a problem just tell the reception staff, their really helpful and will go out of their way to make sure your happy, the staff are brilliant!
from izmir the transfer time is around 45 mins i think. when we went it was to bodrum..and had a 2hours 45mins transfer time, but we were so hyped up with excitement the time whizzed by!
we have a 'swear' flight time back aswell, get back to glasgow at 'swear again' 5 in the morning! bu going out is quite good, 7 at night. then when you get there the staff will let us into the restaurant for some soup etc.
you should probably be able to keep the room longer, especially as you have kids, we didnt do it last time, but probably will this time as its a right pain!
whats the age group of your kids?
I read a few reviews about the beach being 'not that pretty' is this true, To be honest we are more pool people anyway. Is there a banana boat and water sports on the beach? Are these included or extras?
Those staying at Aqua Fantasy are only 5 mins in the dolmus from Ada Land Waterpark which is supposedly one of the biggest in Europe. They also have live Dolphin shows twice a day.
ive read that aswell, and to be honest there was nothing wrong with it when i went, just the sand is darker! they were doing some work on it (im not sure what) but they were digging up the sand, think it was to do with the pipes? but im sure that would be finished by now. im more of a pool person aswell, never really go to the beach. yes they have banana boats, they have a good range of watersports at the beach, some are free but i cant quite remember which they were, i know that pedaloes were definately free, but banana boats were'nt, they were only a small price anyways, and i remember the men in charge of it all would sometimes just let you go on free
Glad to hear the beach isn't as bad as I've been led to beleive, although i too, am much more a pool person.
I'm a little unsure which side to opt for though, can someone please just re-run the pros and cons please? I do like a nice pool view and not too much past 11pm noise!
we are going to Aqua Fantasy on June 19 th for 2 wks i am trying to read up as much info as i can so we are prepared as we don't go on holiday very often, this is our 1st hol for nearly 4 yrs!
anyway, we have 3 kids, nearly 12, 6 & little one will be 22 mths when we go.
whats this about different sides of the hotle, ie the world side & a club side? can you choose which one you are on?
any other info would be great, especially on late check out for our roo (juniour room) as our flight home is at 12.15AM!! yuck.
thanks
hi there, i was thinking of booking here too we have 3 boys 11,7,5.they loved the waterslides last year at the holiday village.I too dont know much about the different sides of hotel read some reviews some really bad a little worried to book.kids love the look of the slides though.dont want to go and be dissapointed.just hope it not too busy thinking about june we normaly take kids out of school.
Hi i'm off to aqua fantasy in three weeks time with my husband and two chikldren who will be 13 and 9 just a couple of questions that someone may be able to help me with. Do they provide beach/pool towels at all as don't want to pack these if i don't need to? Also does anyone know what the weather is like mid May and finally are the mozzies around then? Many thanks hoping for a graet holiday.
i absolutely cannot wait. there are three familys going together, two from dudley & one from bristol.
will hopefully write you a reveiw when i get back.
we go on the 8th may 2008 till 23rd? i think.
hope you love it
have fun!
but your holiday is what you make of it yourself, and its best to make your own judgement, and i could have a party in a bare room on my own. lol.
i have learnt over the years that people who have had a really bad experience will tell others about it, and people who have had a really really great time will tell others about it, but the people who just have a nice time are all chilled when they come back from holiday and think, 'stuff writing a review, no one reads them anyway'
but i always write a review, mostly they have been on tripadvisor before now, (cause i hadnt found this site! ) but i will write a truthful honest account of my stay there when i return (with photo's), and i'll try to leave you a pint each at the bar :O)
thanks for the good luck messages. type 2 you soon. Robin.
