Jellyfish are not that common around Zakynthos. I found an old link i remember posting on a few years ago.

A few other members here also contributed to that thread and it seems they come in on the back of storms and disappear just as quick. I've dived, snorkelled and swam pretty much every beach around the island and never seen any.

I don't think I've ever seen a jellyfish in Greece, in all my visits, including to the Ioanian islands.

thanks for the replies, that eases my worries hopefully we can all enjoy a jellyfish free holiday, i just didnt want my boy to be scared of the sea as hes only 4 and will be his first real time going in the sea, thanks again
