have a good time magsg, we however have 19 week to go
I have been in the middle of November in tunisia in 2006 and in 2007 years.
The weather can be different. In 2006 there were not raining and we spent on the beach all the time . Last year were colder nevertheless we were swimming some times.
In spite of this fact the holiday in Tunisia is awesome. And Dar Khayam is very good hotel.
All good clubs are sufficiently far but near you can find bowling club. Maybe there is disco too.
Have a good time!
I can't wait looking forward to some nice hot weather, might take a bottle of vodka out there with me from some of the reveiws I've read.
Can't wait to go anyway think I've got most of my tips from this thread so I'm well prepared
xxxx
only 19 weeks! the time will fly
not wanting to make you jealous but we're going back at the begining of August too . Will send you some pictures to keep you going.

cheers magsg, have a lovely time, will be interested to know which of the entertainment team are still there, tell them I say hi if you remember.
How is the food lately? Do we need to bring our own towels for sunbeds or a re they provided?
Heard all about pedaloes paragliding and camel trips etc any recent costing?
11 weeks and 5 days and counting the sleeps already Thanks
Hi Millie, you do need towels for the sunbeds, I think camels in October were 15td per adult and we got so many children free, get the children to drink lots of water especially in august take plenty of imodium and something for your 11 year old, take plenty with you. chances are they may get a tummy upset more to do with dehydration rather than food, you will need a very good sun cream for them as mine use a factor 40 in october.have a good time.
forgot pedelos, these and kayaks are free, the paragliding was 25td when we were there a little knocked off if there is two going up. Pirate ship is worth doing at 15td per adult good value day out, kids loved it and also the market at nabeul, you can take a taxi outside of the hotel, and at the end of the market there are taxis to pick you up to take back.
Hi Nadine, thanks for that its a great help, first time to Tunisia but looking forward to it ! Ready for the break ! So i take it there is plenty to do reading all the reviews. Is it a 2hr trip to and from the airport..?
airport tranfer is about 1.5 hours, I think, doesnt seem that long as you will be looking at the sights and doing other hotel drop offs. make sure you have a bottle of water though, and everyone goes to the loo as there are no toilet stops.
also have some £1 coins ready, you will need these for tips ie toilets at aiport porters at hotel, one pound is enough though.
Hope you have a great hol too
what about the check in ? iv heard thats pretty hellish with the welcome meeting etc? how did you find it?
check in if fine you will have three forms to fill out if there are three of you, but does not take long........welcome meeting, personal choice really, quite informative really, we have done it once so didnt do it again, worth it to find out time and trips they are doing, maybe for a first time in tunisia it is worth doing. I just find the reps a bit tedious.
You will have a fantastic time, don't wory about being the only adult because the entertainment staff are fantastic, especially Sam the kids rep, so you will get a little respite. All the staff there love kids ( and not in a funny way like some people have suggested ) We go this Sunday for two weeks so when we get back I'll give you any up date info you need and also we are going for the first 2 weeks in August so maybe see you then.
Be happy it's a great coice and start a count down calender because it won't be long

Hope you enjoy your holidays, we are all counting down the sleeps already we fly Wed 13th so might get to meet you on your last night we will look out for you.
I will keep an eye out for your next lot of tips too. ENJOY !
Michelle
we leave today!! in 4 hours not really excited though always get up at 5 am
just thought of a couple more things
I thought the food was ok but hubby and daughter thought it was great, but you can eat out really cheaply and the crisps from the on sight shop are fantastic. The transfer is a bit of a pain but when we went in August last year only took just over an hour because the entire coach full were staying at the Dar Khayam. But saying that we have booked taxi transfers this time.
Make sure you've got a pen when you are checking in because they don't seem to have spare ones
By the way our 11 year old ( girl ) is asking if yours are boys or girls
Speak to you in 2 weeks ( with, hopefully a suntan )
