Hi
I'm trying to find info about a mud spa beach that is in a place called Sarafovo. I've found a website but it hasn't got directions. Its not in any of the guide books that I've read.
Also I saw on a travel programme last year, a spa in the mountains that had mud baths, but again I can't get any info about it.
Has anyone been to these places and could help me out.
I went to Bulgaria last year and loved it. I most of the day trips and I have to say I wasn't impressed with any of them. I would love to do something a bit different. I have small children with me, so exploring the country isn't really an option. Any ideas are welcome!
Thanks in advance for any replies.
There's plenty on Sarafovo if you google it, including
Maybe they use the mud to stick in their ears to deaden the sound of the aircraft taking off?!

My initial thought too, Peter.
Very convenient as far as airport transfers are concerned, though.....

thanks so much for the replies. Im finding it really difficult to get tourist info on the area. I think they probably expect that most just want to sunbathe all day and drink all night! I'm not able to post the link to the website with the mud beach, I have to get a few more posts in. It does look like fun though!
If you look at Directline's description of Pomorie,
Somewhere like Pomorie would be preferential for a relaxing holiday, from my own perspective, rather than sitting under the Burgas Airport flight path.

I was there a few years ago and you have plenty of hot mud to smell it for the next couple of years
