Prices vary in different bars, I think this year Efes is on average between 5 and 7ytl for a large beer, although we usually manage to find somewhere that does it cheaper

You will probably get a better exchange rate over there, we only ever take enough lira with us for the first day.

where are the cheaper bars

We don't really go in bars as such because we have two young children so we normally have a drink where we eat or somewhere along the beach. My husband has loads of friends too as he used to work in Gumbet for 10 years so he often manages to get things cheap
I know Aloha bar used to be very cheap but I'm not sure if it there this year.
