The hemera hotel is back on Thomas cook website!! (you have to type the name in though!)
We're going to that hotel on the 15th July, booked through Portland Direct which are part of the Thomson Group (just cheaper!) as you cut out the Travel Agent! They have a very good website. Have used them for the past 8 years and every holiday has been EXCELLENT. Good luck. Ronnie
Direct holidays have it back on and they are the cheapest of all the tour op selling hemera. For my holiday 14 nts 4 august day flight depart 14.55 gatwick 3 adults, price Direct Holidays £2378, manos £3186, portland £3156, thomson £3264.
Thank god for that .I was beginning to wonder if I have a holiday for next year after all and it is more or less the same excellent price
I would say to people get the DD price now while its still going, because I believe the price will rise shortly. I think anybody who has paid £3200'ish will be spitting but i would just cancel and book with DD.
We booked our holiday last September through Portland Direct, 3 adults flying from Gatwick for 14 nights all inclusive, £2,150, bargain.
Hi all. I booked with Thomas cook for £459 per adult.
Its coming out at £2197 for 2 weeks departing Bristol on 2nd June for 2 adults & 2 children in a family room
Is this a good price? TBH I always have managed to get our annual holiday for under 2k for a 2 week AI deal in a 4 star hotel so I would (naturally!) like to see the price drop a bit but can someone tell me if they think this is likely or does this hotel sell out quickly and should I snap it up?
Any thoughts would be welcomed
Thanks xx
I would say its a good price, but price up the same holiday with all the other tour ops and see who is the cheapest. Also price up a apartment with thomas cook based 4 adults it might be cheaper than a family room. I don't think you will see the price drop because of the high oil price, weakness of sterling against the euro, even though turkey is not in the euro all the hotel companies will want paying in euro's. Last year 2 adults and a child at the end of august was as low as £1250 with portland, but this year the child price is between £400 to £500 compared to £200 to £300 last year and all the other tour ops were doing free kids places last year but not this year.
Based on my prices in a above post for my holiday for next year I think you will find it hard to beat direct holidays price for the hemera.
Sick as the proverbial parrot as no visit to Turkey this year, however just priced the Hemera for 30th June 2009, 2 adults £1750 from Glasgow, this is roughly what we paid last year!Fitzmum, Worth trawling other operators and if you find a cheaper deal either obviously take it or ask direct Holidays to match it, The above price I quoted was a on-line price but the high street Thomas Cook shop did say they would match it. Fab hotel!
Alistair
I forgot to add cosmos/monarch to tour ops prices £3553 And thomson have gone upto £3459 from £3264 a few days ago. Portland £3231 up from £3156.
OOhh very tempted now - just rang them and the lady on the phone gave me a price of £1969 with inflight meals & the full 20kg baggage allowance (plus the 5kg hand luggage)
Fitzmum is that for the same flight because I just phoned them thinking if I was offered the same amount of discount to re-book because the deposit I paid was only £90 which would mean a saving of £153 on what I paid but the price came out the same as on the web. If I took the night flight it would of been a few hundred cheaper.
The most decent times I can find for Turkey.
So very tempted to book. Only being held back by the fact that we've never been to Turkey before and am just a bit nervous of the unknown
book it now fitz . You wont be disappointed by Turkey in fact it will probably be your first of many holidays there . the Hemera has excellent reviews .You cant go wrong
