sianddi.

The cheapest place will be at Sarigermie Market on Sunday. But beware of fakes. The market is the land of the geniune fake. I would avoid the hotel shops as they were very expensive last year.

hi

Thanks for the reply about the perfume - do they actually sell original at the market or is it all fake and is it easy to see the difference?

Also - you may not know the answer but do they do kids slush drinks

Thanks

It was Iberostar owned last year unless that has now changed.

Apparently, according to the brochure the tropical and palace are as one now and exclusivly first choice

To be absolutely honest with you, I don't know. I would guess, from my own experience, most things in the market are fake.

As for the slush drinks, I don't recall the hotel shops selling those.

I went last year, you can book a trip to a turkish bath in the centre Sarigerme, for just £10. The little shop is on the right its the second shop on your right as you get dropped off by taxi there.
In the HV itself the spa workers will give you the hard seel, but their "packages" are about 60 quid. Also the guy that worked there, I called him spider man, as he was creepy. (flirty) He always came over when my hubby was away from the sunbed, if I pretended to read or be asleep he stood there till I eventually asked what he wanted, lol.
In the end I decided I would not want a massage off him!
Just book in the resort.

Hi LizzyjoB,

Glad you enjoyed your holiday at the Holiday Village we wanted to hear some recent reviews as we are going out there in August and are getting married whilst we are there.

What i wanted to know is how long was the journey for the mud bath trip as when we went to HV about 3 years ago it was about a 2/3 hour trip so it put us off going.

Would be intrested in any other reports about the HV.

Hi

We book mud bath trip through Sarigerme tours, would highly recommend them. We went to Dalyan 30mins away and got on boat and went to mud baths, then we went back down river and called for lunch which was really nice and inc in price. Next stop was turtle beach where we had a couple of hours. On way to turtle beach we stopped to see fishermen catching crab and also saw a 5ft loggerhead turtle which was amazing!! You could order a crab whilst there which was cooke dand ready to eat on way back which cost £2. We then went back to Dalyan down river and got back on coach. Driver took us scenic route back through mountains passing villages. We stopped off at a horse riding ranch where kids could have a little ride. We got picke dup at 9am and got dropped back off at about 6m. It was £15 for adults, £7.50 for kids and little ones were free. It was well worth every penny.

We booked turkish bath through them aswell. Went to Ortaca about 15mins away. The place was really nice, we spent approx 2 hours there and it was only £10.

Hi LizzyjoB,

Thanks for the info on the mud bath trip.

Dont suppose you saw any weddings going on whilst you were at the HV, if you did would appreciate your honest views.

Also if you went to any of the 3 restraunts on site which one would you say was the best.

Thanks

Hi Sam

Didn't see any weddings whilst we were there but there were a few parties that arrived just before we left that were getting married.

Out of the alacartes the Turkish was by far the best. Order the lamb shanks they were lovely :tongue

Our friends went to steak house aswell, but you have to pay for that. They said it was really nice.

we booked a mini bus to take us to Dalyan at night with Sarigerme tours. It was £50 for 12 seater. We went at 7pm and came back at 12.30 am. we went to a restaurant called Begonvil, which is on main street running through Dalyan where restaurant/bars are. The food was amazing and the staff superb.
They were sat with us most of the night. We went back twice as we enjoyed it that much.

Only a month to go and we will be there!!!

Just a couple of questions about the trips - we will probably do the turkish baths and mud trip through Sarigerme tours as everyone seems to rate them. Any tips on what to take with you on the trips to make the trip more enjoyable - who do you tip and how much -

Is the horse riding free on the mud tors for kids ? Are the drink expensive on the trips?

Thanks

hi we went last june and booked through sarigerme tours they were all great.if you go on the fab jeep safari take some water bottles as you have water fights all day with the other jeeps also get some toy water guns from the local shop. hard to remember but im sure on the mud bath tour the pony ride was free but you just bought some drinks from their bar It was just a short stop on the way home. we tipped the tour guide on the end of the trip sorry but cant remember how much.No i cant remember the drinks being expensive but we needed plenty of them. another great trip was the 12 island boat trip.

Hi

The drinks wern't expensive and there was plenty available on the boat on mud bath trips aswell as beer and crisps. The horse riding was free and you could sit in shade with a drink whilst they are riding, but you don't feel like you have to.

On tip avoid icecream at mudbaths and turtle beach as if they have power cuts which are frequent they keep refreezing the icecream, but you should get told that on the trip.
