Yes it's far better taking English Sterling and exchange it at eithier the bank or the Post office, Do not change it at Hotels or commision shops, I often change mine at a bar in Icmeler called The Wonderboys where they give you the same rate as the bank does, Trips, The more you book with one company the easier it is to get the trips for less, You will see the trips advertised all over Icmeler in shops that only sell trips, Do not purchase these from your tour operator as you will pay far to much money for the privalage of useing the same trips as the rest of us.

We are looking at taking £2000.00 sterling for 2 weeks, we're going self catering so I'm hoping that will be enough. Do you think that will be enough or to much for a family of 4, we're only looking at going on the Jeep Safari and possibly Scuba diving, so not to many days out.
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & a couple of trips £2000.00 sound ok???

£2000 is more than enough, Jeep safaris cost £10 per person, Dont wear good clothes to this trip as you will get soaked with water and perhaps dirt also, Scuba diving is more expensive not exactly sure of the price others will know here though.

Phew that's a relief, nothing worse than not having enough money.

What exchange rate was you getting????

Hastings, i think £2000 is about right, i went to marmaris last oct, me and 3 kids, we took 1,200 for 2 weeks and we ran out of money 3 days before coming home, what a nightmare... we went on 3 boat trips, ate out for all of our meals, didnt even do any shopping... this year i need to find cheaper restaurants :duh

That's what i was worried about, we'll have something light for breakfast (Cereal or toast) and a light lunch, then plan to eat in restaurants every evening, we like a drink, but we're not heavy with it.
Going to do a jeep safari and a boat trip, then i suppose the girls will want to go shopping for a few bits in the local markets, where was you eating and what sort of prices was you being charged???

Thats situated right at the foot of the mountain at the back of Icmeler a good distance away from the main part of Icmeler, A dolmus operates to this hotel note this is the council one only and it says on it Belydesi (spelling might be wrong), 2 places I know whom sell good food and reasonably priced, 1, Garden reatauraunt situated in the old village of Icmeler directly opposite Deja vu you get a 2 course meal and a glass of wine for 15 Lira, Amelia restauraunt 5 course meal for 20 lira this ones closer to the center of Icmeler, Jump in a taxi from the center of Icmeler to go to the Amelia it wont cost you more than 3 lira to get to the Amelia which also provides entertainment from 10 pm every night of the week, Both of these meals you choose from the menu anything you want, These are confirmed prices as I used both in May and June this year, Just ask a waiter for the set meal prices If you dont ask you wont get.
