I am also as some other people have said surprised this thread started off so negatively. I think it just happened that the people who read it first are obviously people who enjoy a different kind of holiday to the sort of holiday you have in Turunc.
Most people who love Turunc would never choose to have a holiday in Marmaris.
One of the things we love about Turunc is that it's small, relatively quiet and very laid back, but you really are spoilt for choice with good restaurants. There are more than enough for a two week holiday. If you want a full on nightlife, clubbing till morning then forget it.
As someone else said it is very true that you make friends here very easily, both with waiters and bar staff and other holidaymakers.
There are also lots of trips you can do from here, and of course the taxi-boat to Marmaris and Icmeler.
Many people once they discover Turunc go there year after year.
I would go as far as to say that everyone without exception who we have recommended it to (and this is people of all ages) have not been disappointed and have usually returned.

I say , I didn't say that turunc is a bad.
Turunc is not bad palce, only it s small.

Alfie I think Istanbul29 is probably 29 years old and of course he wants to party!!! Marmaris is just the place. I've done the wild partying and am now ready for a slightly slower pace and so Turunc and Datca are ideal for us!!!!!
I shall be having my own quiet party tomorrow when I get to Datca -yipeeeeeeee.

Went to Turunc 2 years ago and loved it. Went into Icmeler for day and couldn't wait to return to Turunc. There for 10 days and tried different restaurants each night, also nobody hassling you to look in their shops.
