Stayed in Turunc a few years ago, loved it, there's everything there but on a much smaller scale than Icmeler/Marmaris. Although hassle is a lot less in those resorts now there is absolutely none in Turunc - you can even window shop in the Jewellers. It is very quiet tho' so may not suit everyone, but it's easy to get into Marmaris or Icmeler either by dolmus or water taxi, both take about half an hour.

Not sue if Kumlubuk is the place we went to for a day trip, from Icmeler. If so then it is past Turunc, lovely place, it had a small beach, restauran and a private pool which could be used, but I could not stay there that long as it would be too quiet, I think it used to be a Tapestry "away from it all destination"

we sailed into kumlubuk and its a gorgeous place but not a lot there, there was a fabulous chinese restaurant on the beach ,the views are wonderful but it was slightly on the high side price wise, also the fish nip you which surprised us when paddling. i dont think i could stay there for more than a few days as its too quiet, turunc is nice, we took the water taxi there for a day but the sea was unusually rough and we all got off feeling sick, so went on the bus back to icmeler. i think it depends what you are looking for in a holiday, there will be more to do in turunc as i didnt even see a shop in kumlubuk although we only stayed on the beach for the day, turunc is nearer to icmeler and then onto marmaris if you want to visit either of those towns

Thank you for your comments. If we decide to go next year it would have to be Turunc. We like quiet but not too quiet
