Puerto Calero is mostly restaurants and a handful of gift shops. Puerto del Carmen is only a short cab ride away though.

There are a few designer outlets in the street behind the row of restaurants and bars at the marina side.

Not cheap though.

The submarine safari is in Puerto Calero and there are some nice but expensive shops round about. Playa Blanca and Puerto Del Carmen are both close by.

Thanks for info. Since I posted I found a friend who'd been a few months ago and got the low down. She said that yes, there are some really nice designer clothes shops there - Boss, Ralph Lauren, Armani, etc can't remember them all but all big names. Not toooooo pricey but not exactly cheap. Her fave shop was Planet Pammie - a jewellery and gift shop with really lovely, well-priced stuff inside.

Just passing it on anyway - I'll be checking it out for myself very sooooooon! Roll on hols!
