Yes from what I can gather there is a shopping centre right by where the hotel is. As I tend to only eat fruit and yoghurt in the morning it is hardly worth paying a lot extra to upgrade my room. Travelling on my own I am paying a single supplement and I have opted for the top group of hotels from SIA stopover package.
yes you certainly are going upmarket. Not one I can afford. I look forward to the review of it.
Am staying at the Westin Regina Europa in Venice and paid £137 for this including breakfast. The best price was with Travel Republic and now the cheapest I could find this hotel is £189 so it was a good deal. Friend wanted the Bauer but it was £230 per night B&B and to me this was just too expensive.
I have upgraded my cruise to a 2A balcony as a special came on for the over 55's and I only paid a further £201 to upgrade.
This was from a grade 9 inside to the top balcony other than CC room. With NZ being so scenic I felt it was worth the extra.
I do hope that I can plan and do everything in Singapore I want to do. I did when I was in NY and even rode the subway which I thought I would never have the courage to do. I felt safe there and the people warm friendly and helpful. My sense of direction is appalling!
Always want to be off doing something or other. Cruising with stops etc suits my life style at the moment and travelling alone especially. I love it!!
The MRT is easy to use in Singapore by the way. One every 2 or 3 minutes.
