Hi everyone, at the Aliathon at the moment and its fab, having a really good time. Staying in a one bed deluxe in the fishing village and its big and airly with a nice size balcony. My kids are loving it, pools are great the pirate ship and the other large pool. I do feel it looks a little rushed to be finished in time and in a couple of years it will look greener and bit more lush. Food is great, wide selection, not tried the other 2 restaurants yet just the main one and plenty of choice and we sit outside every night which is great. I may be being a prude now but the one thing I don't like is the amount of baps out! I would say 75% of the women are topless around the kids pool areas and its a little bit chav city in that respect, but each to their own! its giving us a bit of a giggle looking at some of the not so good boob jobs! The entertainment is great for the kids, mine absolutely love E3. Weather gorgeous, pretty much heaven here you will all love it. :cheers

Aye there was alot of topless ladies round the kids pool when we were there too - it doesn't bother me, but I can see how it might bother others. Didn't seem to bother my husband much either ;)

Hi

How many people does 1 bed apt in fishing village sleep. Would it be cramped with 2 adults and 3 kids, if it sleeps that many?

The one bedroom appartments in the fishing village are only suitable for 2 adults and 2 kids in my opinion, unless you get two very short adults as the living room beds are not that big.

And are you sure this security guard was not winding you up about the cards? First Choice reps actualy run poker games so to say playing cards is not allowed on site is just plain wrong.

Gambling is illegal in Cyprus.

There are no Casinos in the south of Cyprus, only the occupied north of the island.

Most online gaming sites block players with a Cyprus IP address.

If you weren't playing for money, then it should not have been a problem. Mybe they were just being cautious as the Police could have pulled the owners in as well as anyone suspected of gambling.

A lot of the hotels run what they call "Casino Nights" where you buy play chips to have a go at BlackJack or Roulette but you cannot win cash or exchange your chips for cash.

We have betting shops in Cyprus but only to bet on football and horseracing in Nicosia. They also play Keno in the betting shops and Bingo is getting to be very big here too.

A friend of mine worked in an online gaming company here in Cyprus (there are a few here now but no Cypriot players can play online) and the Police must have been wrongly tipped off one night and went to raid the office they were working from. Everyone had to produce their ID or Alien Registration Cards to prove they were legally working, otherwise - they were taken to the local nick....

Hi everyone
sorry to ask the same thing again but i keep hoping the answer will change LOL did anyone see goulash ???? we went to hv turkey last year and my kids fell in love with him and i was kinda hoping e3 would have him there again !! or at least something similar !!!! they are only 2 & 4 so trying to explain why he is not there is not really an option XXXXX

Goulash was defo not there when I was there - early July!

They had Bob the Builder and Barney the Dinosaur knocking around a bit at that time but you didn't see much of them.

I think Goulash was associated with Crowsfeet Island (the show they had in HV Turkey when I was there last year) but at the Aliathon they have Kids Village Time in place of that so I doubt Goulash is there tbh. I think he's probably copyrighted to whatever that theme was last year, I noticed it was all change in the theme in the kids dept in the brochures for the Holiday Villages this year, as opposed to last year. I think it's Hit Entertainment now (Fireman Sam, Bob The Builder, Barney, Angelina etc)

Does anyone follow that - just read it back and it sounds rubbish!! :duh

I think your kids will forget Goulash when they see the fab kids splash pool, he will be but a distant memory!

Unfortunately Goulash is not there, even though I threatened to strangle him if I saw him he would have been a welcome site compared to the awful guff that is served up by the entertainment team there.

Maybe i didnt find them that good because, when i was at the HV Viva last year the entertainment was good and the outside shows where great aswell. There was a big difference between them. Surpose it may have been because E3 team where new to everything. Who knows ?
