There are about 30 bars in the same street as Hotel California. You will enjoy finding which one is the best for you.

I am the process of compiling of a list of wi-fi hotspots and so far the Hotel California is not on it.

There are a number of bars etc offering internet access around town but it is a while since I had the need to use any so cannot really comment. Jo-jo's bar, just around the corner from the hotel heading towards the beach, has an internet terminal for public use - you have to pay of course!

You can find a list of the PT wi-fi hotspots here. Hotel California is on Page 3 and apparently the Reception, Bar and Pool Bar are covered! If you are taking your laptop you can buy vouchers from the PT Wi-Fi website, or if you are a customer of one of the PT Wi-Fi roaming partners (e.g. BT Openzone), you can use PT Wi-Fi Hotspots with your username and password from your own Wi-Fi operator. If you're not taking a laptop, I would think there would be a PC you could use in the Hotel California since it's a hotspot!
