Sat Aug 9th collected our Dollar rental 7 seater Dodge Caravan plenty of space for 5
and all our luggage.Left Miami for our drive to Orlando for 4 nights this was mainly for
shopping and the family wanted to do the new Simpson ride at Universal which they
loved.Stayed at the Holiday Inn on ID this was our first time to stay on ID and will be
the last, [found the area grubby and tacky],we had a room in the tower wing ,large
room and clean but the surroundings outside were not.so good.

Did the Premium Outlets at Buena Vista also the Florida Mall ,daughters friend had twin
girls just before we left home so spent and spent at Oshkosh and Baby Gap.also all the
Nike, Addidas sport stores where our grandson wanted every thing.
The weather was very hot so the pool at the Holiday Inn was great and it stays open
untill 23:30 which was a bonus.
Wed 13th
Early morning start for our 07:45 flight to Phoenix Arizona.
Pick up another Dollar rental no 7 seaters available so we now have what we call the school
bus 12 seater for just 5 of us,i am just 5ft and a bit so had jump out it was so high
Tonight have 2 nights booked in Flagstaff ,the drive from the airport through Sedona was
spectacular the deep red colour of the rock formation was breathtaking,one place on our list to
return to.
Arrivied at the Travel Inn for our 2 night stay ,out for a early meal as all shatterd after our early
start and long journey.
Thursday 14th today we journey to the Grand Canyon again a wonderfull experience ,we spent the
whole day stopping at all the look outs and the visitors centre which was very informative.
Friday 15th leave Flagstaff this morning for the start of our last week that takes us via Lake Mead
and the Hoover Dam. hubby and i have done this on a previous visit ,first time for the family they
thought it great and again a wonderfull experience.
Arrive in Vegas late afternoon and check in at The Carriage House for our 1st night ,have stayed here
4 times when exchanging our timeshare but this time as we need a 2 bedroom apartment for the family
we stay just the one night in guest rooms,and tomorrow move to The Hilton Grand Vacation Club where
we have exchanged into a 2 bed apartment,we love the Carriage House for the position as its just across
from the side of Planet Hollywood,this is where we spent our first evening ,first meal ,and first try at the
slots more to follow on the next 7 nights!!!soon
