No I don't mean naturist
My adult son who has Aspergers syndrome loves to look at ducks and animals. On a recent visit to Florida our villa looked out onto a lake with ducks and geese that used to wander up to the pool screen and my son was fascinated.
Where could we go in England (we are in the North) for a break where he can see wildlife ? Butterflies are another thing he likes.

You could combine that with the Lakes and Morecambe Bay/Mud
Along with ducks you can look out for Otters, Red Squirrels, Deer, Herons, Cormorants etc all in the Lake District.
Thanks Harriers. I'm going to take a look at your link

Not too far, I think, from this area too?

There's a Butterfly House here

Thanks Phoebe. We are near Formby and Ormskirk so we could do a day trip I think the kids went to Martin Mere from school when they were younger.
How about this one for a trip too?

This looks maybe worth a visit, in Derbyshire (plenty to see and do in the surrounding area too)

Some good ideas there. Will make a note of all the websites.
Discovered this site which apart from having some excellent bird photos your son may enjoy, also offers customised bird watching trips which may be of interest.......(I understand that they have a relative with Aspergers Syndome which may be helpful) http://www.robwilsonphotos.co.uk
Otherwise what about somewhere in the vicintity of Slimbridge? http://www.wwt.org.uk/centre/122/visit/slimbridge.html. I remember many years ago staying at Slimbridge YHA to visit the wetlands centre - the hostel had a largish pond in it's grounds which was full of ducks etc
Thanks for that. I will take a look
I can't think of anywhere specific to recommend to you, although Alan has always enjoyed staying at Center Parcs villages where there are always lots of birds and animals around. Hope you manage to find something suitable!
Perhaps they have an affinity with animals when they find socialising with people more difficult. He's just started a course on digital photography and got a good one of a squirrel close up in the nearby park !!
We live near Grange over Sands we have an excellent DucK pond near the station and loads of accomodation close by ,he ducks and geese are very tame and very photogenic, hope you find somewhere
