What do you wear for the flight? Do you dress up or do you dress for comfort?
I have seen lots of ladies made up to the nines, wearing their finest and what looks like all the jewellery they own.....others more casual in their combats, trainers etc.
I fit into the dress for comfort category, whats your opinion?
Definitely comfort for me. For 10 hours in cramped conditions (especially if your flying Monarch) I favour flat shoes and loose trousers and layers so I can take off or put on depending on temperature. I always feel like I bloat and expand a wee bit during the flight anyway (maybe it's my age) so casual comfort is my choice for long haul. I also don't wear white/light colours as I usually manage to dribble red wine or some of my delicious airline food on to my lap. It amazes me what some of the Russians travel in. Really high heels, fancy tops, tight jeans.
My problem is always what to wear in terms of how warm I shall be here in the freezing cold as opposed to how it will be when we get to Goa and vice versa.
Comfort all the way, I have arthritis as well so its a definate requirement. Big socks, so shoes can come off straight away, and shorts in the hand liggage to change into before we land.
My trousers usually have a bit of elastic in the waist so that helps with the puffiness around the stomach. I still haven't managed to find a really nice comfortable pair of shoes that I can just slip on or slip off during the flight, so I end up wearing the same pair of lace-up Ecco shoes that I bought about 8 years ago and which are still going strong.
I remember one year, someone sitting near me took off their shoes and although I did not know who it was I could certainly smell them. pooh!
Comfort every time!! I wear loose trousers, teeshirt with a jumper over it and flat shoes.I never wear a coat or jacket to the airport as it is just another thing to carry around, and the airport is usually quite stuffy. I also tend to wear darker colours for exactly the same reason as GEC Paula
cropped elasticated waist slacks and a vest top for when we arive plus
a tshirt and cardi and sandals comfort all the way
Pat
yes comfort every time i would hate to sit in jeans all that time liz
comfort.. went in jeans last time, wont be doing that again, this tine a skirt and strappy top...
Santa hat for me this year as i fly out on xmas day
how exciting billy, have a nice time....
hope there's going to be a little bit more to your costume billy!Santa hat for me this year as i fly out on xmas day
Definitely go for comfort and layers. It's great being able to be prepared for that heat when you get off the plane but then having to wrap up when you come back
Comfort - but I have seen some real sights. Not sure where they think they're going?!
Definately comfort, easy to slip on/off shoes, layers, as some air conditioning is too cold, some too warm, take a big jacket for when you get back, (with big pockets), so you can add more weight in your coat as they never weigh that!! - good for those last minute essentials, I like sligtly thinner trousers which I can still wear in Goa, it's either that or changing in the toilets at the airport, and if anyone has seen the toilets at the airport you really don't want to be changing anything there!!!
Thank you for the mental picture Billy
Wish I was on your flight Billy, that would be something to see
I find that a 3 piece suit with a white shirt and silk tie gets you the respect from cabin staff.
