According to advert in yesterdays paper, Ingo is opening on 6 Dec in Parra. Wonder who the stall holders will be. The guy running market on old site is apparently charging less for stalls, and last week went well. Are there even enough customers for 3 saturday night markets. Will people check it out or stick with the old one. At the end of the day it doesnt matter who is running it, so long as it works. Present owner has the benefit of watching Ingo operate for the last few years, its all set up, and everyone knows where it is.

My taxi driver told me this..

Apparantly the reason for change is because the police want the Taxi parking to be further away from the market area. The Taxi's are too near the market at present. This is to monitor/stop possible terrorist activities (car bombings). They are worried that it is impossible to monitor any taxi's at current location.

Alarming but I'm only quoting my driver.

I think we need a new thread - Clive Braganza' night market. As I said before Ingo is opening a new market on dec 6 in Parra, so all talk on this thread about the last 2 markets should be under CB night market. Ingo only had a 5 year lease, Im sure he was hopeful of renewing it, he invested a lot in the site. But, its a well known, much practised goan 'business' to rent you a house on a 5 year lease, let you spend money on improving it, then take it back. I doubt Ingo is too suprised, he's been here long enough. Problem he has now is that established stall holders see no need to move. And do we need another night market.

It will be interesting to see if any markets are on this Saturday.
