I would not stay at the Punta Jabillo..I have stayed there before and I was ill for a month afterwards and I was not the only one. Truly dreadful experience and it is such a shame because it is set in an ideal location right on the sea front.

That said, it has changed hands since then but from what I can gather nothing has been spent on re-furb or dragging the place to what even remotely can be classed as a hotel. It also depends what you are looking for. If you want cheap..then go there..but beware..you get what you pay for.

What is your budget? What facilities do you want? How close do you want to be to the beach? Do you like nightlife? There are so many factors to consider..

Lanzarote is a lovely place to stay..my favourite out of all the Canary Islands. I am sure wherever you go..you will love it.

Looks like it's going to be the Celeste then. They were the first apartments I looked at so I may as well go with my first choice.
For those that asked.......all we really want is somewhere cheap and basic to sleep for a week and to have some kind of nightlife in the area (as in pubs, restaurants......not bothered about discos).
This is just a chill out week as we have our main holiday in September (the reason why we like it to be as cheap as posiible ;) )..........

Every thing is more or less on your door step, beach, bars, restaurants, bus stops, shops etc. They have a market on a friday evening i think & this is worth a wonder round or just sit in a bar & people watch :rofl . Im sure you will have a great time just dont expect luxury. There is tv, kettle, toaster & microwaves in rooms too.

Celeste should suit you ideal..plenty of places to eat, drink and be very merry around that neck of CT.
