Hi Gemma
Glad you and Pauline liked the Mira we thought it was exellant
and very reasonable the starter was the best bit

Agree Debgreg - Soumyens beats I-95 everytime for me. I-95 feels a bit pretentious and "Mastercheffy" - style over substance.
Starlight is in Arpora the last restaurant on your right as you come out of the village going towards saturday night market, just past all spice and saffron, got to admit i like it in there bit basic but good food and cheap
They don't have a lot of tables and it can be noisy late at night when the "Butter" night club starts up.
chilly
Chilly try the butterscotch brulee - I can taste it just now - brilliant!!!
...and the Camembert Souffle......
We will need to wait to March til we are there again
We visited the carvery last year and I have tos ay it was an horrendous meal
Had two meals there this year and both were lovely and well priced...think you nust have been unlucky Tracy.
i go to goa twice a year, and have never had a bad meal in rams, he does like english food, well he did when he came and stopped at my house.lol we got him so drunk on stella and 8.4% cider, he had one mother of an hangover. lol
For us it was as cheap to have a couple of beers at the carvery as it was to buy them at Newtons.

We have eat there every wed night before the HT Meets, since the begining of November and always been Great food
We ate at Rams's (The Carvery) a couple of times in November - he does his own version of Baileys, it was very good and very fairly priced considering the cost of the real stuff in Goa. 12 people in our group and only one complaint, not really a complaint, she didn't like the prawns served with the heads etc.. still attached.
We met him when he had his first bar, the Cactus Shepherds Pie, on the way into Calangute.
He still does a nice Shepherds Pie by the way.

We have never stumbled across it and would lie to give it a try, can anyone give me rough directions.
Thanks
We fly on the 18th Jan and I am getting my list together, we missed a year so good to get some up to date recommendations.
Hi Goaliesmum, if you are coming from calangue ? head towards candolim and its a left turn just before the hindu temple (which is the right) but down a small side road ..theres a sign on the corner and its almost opp after seven...directions arent my hot point hope this is clear...........and correct i come to it from candolim side usually
Rarely walked to Candolim from Calangute and usually walk the beach part way as I get too hot on the streets
We are staying at the Sunset and hope to get to the meets so will ask for directions then
Thanks again
chilly
Your directions are spot on, from Calangute its a taxi ride anyway and they all should know where it is. Just got back and did both after 7 and Soulimans. After 7 better venue but food was better at soulimans, both are a treat. I was very impressed with over the flames, the entertainment on Thursdays is very good.
