Hope everyone had a lovely christmas, i will be back in Goa in less than a month . I know i said we were changing our destination to Mexico, but to be honest i did have in the back of my mind doubts, so we have decided to give Goa another go. What put us off mexico was going all inclusive.
chilly
i dont fancy all inclusive either,at the hotel where we stayed last year there were laods there all inclusive, needless to say they did a lot of complaining...yummymummy wrote:. What put us off mexico was going all inclusive.
Adele - I have never been all inclusive before, and i have to say i do not know if i will like it. The reason i love Goa is because i have the freedom to do whatever i want to do without spending lots of money.
One example is trips. In Goa you can do lots of trips with taxi drivers for a small cost, but in Mexico a day out at a waterpark can set you back at 50pounds per person minimum.
Our limited budget comes in to play here, as well as wanting to explore Goa, instead of basically being in the hotel all the time like we would have been in Mexico.
There is still a thought of what happened in Mumbai, but after having some serious thoughts, why should we put our holiday on hold. I doubt anything will happen in Goa now.

£50 wow thats a lot, i have just heard of bad reports of all inclusive, never had it myself....
as for what happened in mumbai, i can understand, we are out there on 4th jan and were going to go to mumbai but now we will go to south goa, and your quite right ,why should we put our holiday on hold for them....,

welcome back to the forum everyone- I hope you all had a lovely Christmas
Can anyone remember the name of the series of programmes following a couple moving to Goa- must be 4 years ago now??
It was Living the dream. Just google living the dream tv series. Barry
Is that the programme where the lady called Jo called her business 'Jo's Ponderosa'?
living the dream- thanks I was sure paradise came in the title
It was on TV yesterday, think it was "No going back"
did anyone watched Palin back in Mumbai? It was really interesting and probably one of the few good programmes on over the festive period.
