Other option is book a campsite that has use of a fridge, we regularly go to one in North Yorks that has a fridge for campers.
Both good ideas
Freecycle works too -- my bait fridge is a table top 240v/ 12v /gas one from there
for France we noticed our caravan fridge wasn't working as well as it should on the caravan so we (well ME) did an adaptation it's simple and will work on some table tops too it works so well that frozen food stay at -14 for over 10 days when it got up to 45 degrees inside the 'van on some days
here is a simple explanation how to
1/ go to computer shop and get a turbo fan for the CPU
2/ wire it up so that it pulls air from the top of the fridge so that extra air is drawn over the cooling fins of the fridge (only works it they are covered in to form a wind tunnel effect)
3/ wire the fan to a 12v supply
