We stayed at the Flamingo Benidorm once that's AI, and the rooms are like a small apartment, with a lounge that have setee's that convert to beds, it was ok, food was good, we didn't book again because they stopped the smoking there, and we both smoke.
Maybe worth a look to see if they can sleep 5? Linda.
I rang Direct Holidays this morning and they denied knowing anything about the rooftop pool not being available and said they'd ring me back, I'm still waiting. I told them if we couldn't use the rooftop we wouldn't go. What would we do without Danny, he's so good helping people. He told me on the phone last night that he'd ring them again. My son booked this hotel last October to go in August this year and Portland said they could cancel but all the holidays are so much more expensive now. I feel sorry for anyone who has booked from May as there will be a lot more people trying to sit round an already crowded downstairs pool. Thanks again for finding out the date it starts. Hopefully we can enjoy the holiday this year but will never go again. I think they'll lose a lot of visitors after May as most older people use the rooftop pool.
It's such a shame. Only once have we been to a hotel that has an adults only rooftop pool, and it was great.
hi ,jean they said as much to me regarding the pool, im not letting it lie, if they dont call me back il keep phoning them and follow it up in writing, i think there trying to keep as many people as possible in the dark, hoping that once they get off plane they will accept whatever they offer, they know parents wont want to disappoint their children and the majority will probably just go to a different hotel.
TBH I nearly didn't book here again, after the last time when they said there was only the one room booked, but refused to show me my booking to prove it. It was 7 hours later we got the other room, but I wasn't going anywhere else!
One of the main factors of booking again is we do like it really, and thought we'd give it one more chance, plus we are on our own this time.
The other factor was the rooftop pool/bar, as the main one is very crowded and beds are hard to get. I will not get up early just to put a towel on a blinkin lounger........
Let's hope we do have access to the rooftop when we go, because when it's club room only up there I won't book again. Linda x
Im going on the 26th june and ive booked with direct holidays and im worried about them putting us in a different hotel. Im not getting anywhere with DH i know they are part of the thomas cook group will i get any joy with them?
what have they told you Liana? im due to fly out on the 27th june.
I would keep ringing them Liana as I can't believe they booked people for June after telling my daughter we would be the last ones going with them. We are going from 4th to 18th April. They didn't ring me back but as the hotel told Danny it didn't start until May we should be okay. We certainly wouldn't go if the rooftop terrace was closed.
We booked it last june as it was a good price. They have just said if you have been booked into that hotel you will be going there. Not impressed with the girl on the phone she really did not know what she was on about. is it worth getting in touch with thomas cook? even though it was direct holidays we booked with.

i also booked in june, when i phoned them on monday they more or less told me exact same, if your booked here this is were you will be going etc. when i called back today on this number 01274384658, i was through to operations and when i explained i was waiting on someone calling me since monday she told me that was only customer services and she was in the operations dept, so maybe try using that number and ask if your through to that dept, i also told her that it was an advisor from direct holidays that informed me of this ,(slight mistruth. although he did say they werent taking any new bookings at this time), keep phoning them and start writing. i wouldnt bother with the email , i did it and only got the standard drivel back from them.

no jean still waiting , although the girl i spoke to yesterday said they allow 72 hours for a reply from the resort before they follow it up. im not holding my breath waiting on them calling me, il no doubt be chasing it up next week again.
Well, it's now a week since I emailed the F/O for info on the rooftop pool and club rooms, and I am still waiting for a reply...
I have also emailed the flamingo oasis re the 25th floor. We will see if they reply. Northants j you should do it also. They may reply to one of us. Carol

I still haven't heard from Direct Holidays, don't suppose I will. They can't deny knowing anything about it now as they've had a lot of people querying it. I don't suppose they know what to tell clients.
nor me jean , giving it to middle of next week then im phoning them back.
