bluemoon - If you look down the left hand side of the site you will see 'fill your application online''. Scroll the page down and you will now see ''apply online''. Scroll down and click ''I agree'' (to terms and conditions) this should then give you the option to chose what you want to do.
Spike
Only other options if you are 100% sure you are doing that right is to turn off your firewall. Maybe being the weekend the site could be being modified and not accessible ?
Spike
Thanks Spike have done that but when I bring it up to print it just keeps coming up error ?? i'm totally stumped
Have just e-mailed VFS GLOBAL and noticed there is a public holiday tomorrow 26/1
Another thing that you should look at is your security settings and allow your browser to ''access this site''
Click on Tools-> Go to Internet options-> Content-> Under Certificates Click on Clear SSL state button. Click ok and close the browser. Close all IE windows and relaunch.
Worth a try ?
Also post the question in the computer problem section here on HT site - some great helpful people knocking about on there.
Feel sorry for you bluemoon - so frustrating eh ?
A) what address do i send my sons passports and printed form to if we have done it online.... the Gosswell road or the -3 Canalside, Uxbridge Road, Hayes UB4 0JN.address??
The page linked to in a reply above does tell you which office (or in the case of London, group of offices) deals with the applications according to jurisdiction.
However the Home page of the site does say "submit your application and passport at the Visa Application Centre or send it by Post to our Hayes, Edinburgh or Birmingham application centre, depending upon your jurisdiction."
This seems to say that for postal applications people in London Offices area jurisdiction should use the Hayes address for postal rather than Victoria or Goswell Road.
chilly
Gave up trying on home computer and completed forms at work during lunch hour. All was going well and I successfully completed applications for myself and my husband. I then printed off page that says you have successfully created online VAF and to keep a note of your web reference no. I then returned to print off the visa application forms and up comes an error message giving me an email address to contact the visa office. So now I have no printouts! I asked our IT guys at work and they think it is an error at their end and as it is a Public Holiday today they are not now open. Hopefully when I get to work tomorrow I will be able to print them off and then continue to make an appointment at Goswell Road. Thank goodness I have another 5 weeks to sort this out - you could never book a last minute holiday to Goa because of the Visa situation.
goadreamer, i have the exact same problem, trouble is i have made an appointment to visit Hayes tomorrow to take them in but cant print them off I have sent a couple of emails over the weekend to the contact email addy but no one has come back to me yet, hopefully will try in the morning and they print off ok
Me too me and Mrs FTV are bald as coots, will try tomorrow.
Modify/Retrieve Visa Application/s
i tried
Download/Print Document/s
from the quick links page and it says no records found trouble is i have paid for them already and the payment is set against that web reference so cant exactly redo it
I had similar problems. It would seem that even in England we are dealing with typical indian efficiency.Honestly the website is just so confusing.I am computer literate but have still had problems.Just hope to get them back soon.Good luck to all of us still waiting.
Tried to print the forms off again this morning and it still didnt work have e-mailed them again this am and hopefully by later today I will be at the post office
Mine have printed off ok this morning, must have been a fault at their end
Our visas arrived back yesterday, posted Tuesday and returned the following Thursday, just over a week. Not bad. Must have filled in the forms ok
Got ours back today.10 days not bad.Hope this helps others.Did application online and was then unable to print out online application.Ended up doing the printable "word" form and paid online.Enclosed the printed"word" form with passports with a return SED and all turned out well.
We go in 2 weeks and I dont want any other problems.
hi bigbad it does seem to show application created for quite a while ours changed to application processed as they sent them back i wouldnt worry anita
After about 3 days we got the message application forwarded to consulate. Not sure if the tracking online is a good thing.Seems to cause more stress.
So I emailed VF Services saying "I will send another copy of the application just in case, please don't send my passport back in the meantime as it'll waste £10 of postage to send it back again"
I duly received a reply saying "if anything is missing the whole lot will be sent back"
Anyway, I'd already sent another copy of the online form, signed & dated, off to Birmingham so expected the worst....
DIDN'T EXPECT WHAT CAME NEXT!!
Phone call on Friday morning from Birmingham Visa Application Centre...
"We have received the copy of the application, but there is no Passport with it"..
"No, I've already sent my passport, you received it on the 19th, I tracked its delivery"..
"Oh?..we don't have it."
"Well I don't have it, the tracking information I have from Royal Mail says you have received it ten days ago"
"We'll have a look for it..."
Heard nothing since, online tracking STILL says 'an application has been..' etc etc
So, how long do I wait before I ring the £1 a minute helpline, or call the passport agency and declare my passport lost, or phone Royal Mail up and ask them "Where the H*** have you delivered my passport to?!" and "what are you going to do about it?"
I leave on March 14th...a new passport could take 3 weeks to get...and then I'd have to send it off again for the Visa....
Fingers Crossed!!
Grim.
