It's understandable that many people are concerned about prices at the moment.
The value of the pound against the Euro is at an all time low and because the Bulgarian Lev is tied to the Euro, it means that you will only get about 2 lev to the pound now.
A couple of years ago it was 3 lev to the pound and more.
This means that Bulgaria is no longer cheap, look at the other posts about food and drink prices and work it out for yourself.
Having said that, we are going to Obzor again this year, the town is nice and quiet, people friendly and the weather fantastic.
We should still be able to get a couple of nice meals and a few drinks cheaply.
As usual, shop around.
Robbo.
It will be interesting to read posts about prices etc. when holidaymakers return from this years holidays.
We will visit Portugal this month and Ibiza in the summer and I am bracing myself kinda expecting to be shocked at prices.
I can live with 50p for a Large Beer
Quite agree with you morh if you know where to look then good value can be found in Bulgaria. Hope Ibiza is not too bad, youngest worked there 2 summers ago and we went out to 'check up' on her, I was horrified at the prices then heaven knows what they are like now.
Thanks Nels - 2 holidays booked so far this year to Portugal and Ibiza. For quite a few years now we have been going to both Bulgaria and Turkey but I think we will be needing to take a lot more than our usual spending money!
