Please refer to our dedicated Qatar Airways thread. If your flights are on the same itinerary, you'll be through checked to your final destination. You'll get all your boarding cards in Gatwick and your bags will be transferred on to your connecting flight for you. As long as your flight arrives on-time, you should be ok but don't mess around when transferring, go straight to the boarding gate of your next flight. It's usually recommended to leave 90 minutes between flights. Qatarman is the person to ask.
