not sure if there's already a thread for this, but I thought I'd start one where we can review, recommend, slate travel gadgets.
I bought one of these http://www.travelwithcare.com/TravelAccessories/149/products/XCrease-295.html 2 years ago (still use it at home when I can't be bothered ironing something!) And would recommend it, saves on taking an iron away, even if it's a travel one, I've often found them not to heat up as much as normal.
We found the mosquito repellant wrist bands absolutly no use! Would be interested in hearing others' views.
Just ordered an Itsa https://www.theitsa.com/ would be interested in finding out what it's like!
Has anyone experienced any travel gadgets, good or otherwise?
That spray looks good, and simple to use. It would also save on weight in the suitcase, if I didn't have to take an iron with me. I carry it every time we go away and hardly ever use it.
As I say they now have a lightweight version....although it doesn't state the weight so I've emailed them. I guess a lot of people will be doing what I intend to do & sell my original on eBay, so there could be bargains for people who don't mind the weight of the original ITSA
p.s. does that iron spray REALLY work ??
The spray is fantastic! You simply spray it on the creases and pull at the clothing, the creases will come out straight away! It lasts ages as well! 1 can lasted me 2 weeks! Great for peace of mind as well
I find hanging a creased item in the bathroom while showering works a treat because the steam gets them out. A spray with just water in works as well, but then you've still got to buy something you can spray from - an old hair product container would work.
Wheres my ... ?
Its in the ITSA!
Wheres my ...?
Its in the ITSA !
Repeat until you lose the will
Spray looks good - will try that this year

Do you get water marks with the spray?
I've never noticed any water marks! I'd be careful with silk items though in case it stains, but I can use it on my white trousers with no trouble!
Whats an itsa?, or am I just really sad!!!
Whats an itsa?, or am I just really sad!!!
Not sad at all There is a topic on the itsa somewhere, it was started last summer. Basically, it's a large towel with lots of little pockets to keep your bits and bobs e.g. suncream, glasses etc.
http://www.theitsa.com has product info mothers day prezzie to my mum and it was on Dragon's Den but got slated! Basically as described, a beach towel that folds itself into a bag which ties onto your sunlounger with pockets for your drink, book, sunblock and ipod
Ohh, will have to look into that one, could be quite handy with my family, something always goes missing round the pool.!!
Once it's a bag, there's space to put everything in (including another towel if needed!) I was quite weary of this in case there wouldn't be space for beach essentials, but there is!
It's still quite heavy and bulky though It wouldn't register an actual weight on the scales, but I weighed myself with and without it in my hands, and there was about 1kg difference, I'll try it again later on the wii fit, should give a more accurate reading.
We're sacrificing 1kg worth of clothes in our cases! But it's worthwile!
I swear by Ben's 100 if going anywhere remotely tropical..... it's 95% DEET (not sure why they didn't call is Bens 95?!?!)
Hi,
Infact my mate once threatened to wear 'all' of his clothes home just so he could pack a 20 inch Titanic lighter in his suitcase!!!
