My daughter and her boyfriend are going to this hotel in July and were wondering if pool/beach towels are provided?

Hi, sorry cannot comment about towels as I have not stayed there although all the hotels I have stayed in so far have provided them. However, thought I'd mention that I've heard this hotel is strict about men wearing long trousers in the restaurant in the evening. Regards, Caro
Stayed at the sunrise royal makadi, part of the same group and they did provide towels. They have there own website listed below

Hi, we stopped at this hotel in august last year, yes they do provide towels room ones were changed every day for the beach you have a card which you hand in each day and are given your towels you get the card back when you return your towels each day don't loose the cards or else you are charged, the restaurants don't have very good air conditioning so a hand held fan is advisable you can wear 3/4 length trousers in restaurant the lagoon is amazing and other questions just pm me and will try to help

We stayed at the Sunrise Island View in Sharm, this January and were so impressed that we recommended that hotel to my daughter and her boyfriend. They wanted somewhere that was close to the nightlife rather than in a quiet location, and Sunrise Holiday Resort seems quite close to the actual town of Hurghada, so will probably be more suitable for them.
The set up for the towels is the same as at the Island View then, which is so handy not to have to take bulky beach towels with you.
At the Island View, you didn't have cards or bands for the All Inclusive - is it the same at this hotel?
Also, are the bedrooms quite big and do they all have sea views?
I'm sure they will have lots more questions!!

You do have bands for all inclusive, the rooms were large and mini bar well stocked all rooms have a sea view ours was in the middle of the block and had amazing views got 2 lovely sunrise from it also being a middle one meant our balcony was larger than some

hi elaine, yes the mini bar is part of ai it is only stocked with soft drinks but was kept well stocked with water,coke and fanta drinks are easy to get, can't help with nearest water park and we booked out trips through thompson as even though they may be more expensive i like to know we would be insured esp as we take our two children with us but someone else may be able to help you with that,did book a snorkeling trip with the guys on beach which was very good, any other questions just ask

We went in august very hot but lovely breeze from the sea, restaurant gets very hot and air conditioning rubish so i would take a fan for meal times,food good, breakfast lots of choice,pizzas and chicken burgers cooked fresh at lunchtime by beach evening meals plenty of choice all hot main restaurant gets busy and may have wait but can always get in one by pool and just as much choice we ate at arabian nights twice both times very good my 11year old son not very adventurous with food and even he ate well
I can't wait. It just seems really weird to be able to have what you want when you want as we have always gone either self catering or b and b.
Is the hotel close enough to the town to walk as we will want to occasionally go for a meal out and to buy pressies?

You could walk but its quite far and its very hot, roads are not brilliant with hardly any paths we caught a few taxi's you can get one from the hotel and if you arrange a price they will pick you up and bring you back at an agreed time and you pay when you get back to hotel just be clear on price, Pressies if you turn right out of the hotel there are some shops there or wait until you get to the airport as there are some there and they are just as cheap, when do you go we go aug 8th from birmingham

I can imagine then that if you were to walk you would get hounded by the taxis and it can get very annoying
Are you going back to the sunrise or are you trying a different hotel this time??
Can you snorkel off the beach? We went to Sharm a couple of years back and we could see the most amazing fish even at waist height off the beach. I'm hoping it will be the same.

Got our date wrong we go the 11th so a week after you went the 8th last year. You will see loads of fish in the lagoon especially near the bridge and someone doing the free try dive saw sea horses. We went on trip to giftun island with guys from beach really worth it saw angel,clown,parrot and butterfly fish plus loads more and the beach is like a paradise beach with amazing colour sea you will have a great time there we did.

Does the AI start then or will it be the following day??
Also when we get there will there be any food available, if not could anyone make any suggestions of easy to reach places to go to have some food as we will have been travelling all day.
I've read that there is two levels of AI. Does anyone know what the differences are?

ai starts as soon as you arrive. We arrived at night and in our room was a platter of food i had emailed the hotel first so not sure if thats why we got one or if we would of had one anyway. There was blue and pink ai the pink drinks finished at 11 blue carried on all night also with blue you got a try dive and massage we were upgraded to blue and most people there were blue hope this helps

I'm really looking forward to going back to the Grand Resort in July having stayed at the Marriott in March (nice hotel but not as good as expected from the reviews) and would love to know the pros and cons of the Sunrise v Grand Resort from someone who has stayed at both. hi caro, the sunrise is lovely especially the lagoon and every room has a seaview but it hasn't got the grands wow factor this year we are going somewhere different we are staying in the fort arabesque in makadi bay.
Hi Denise, thanks for the reply - just assumed you were going back to the Sunrise. I've read that the Fort Arabesque has one of the best beaches in Makadi Bay and that the snorkelling is amazing so have a lovely time. Regards, Caro

How can i find out what colour we will be. We booked with panorama which is part of the Thomas Cook umberella. I would be pretty gutted if we were pink.
