ZJC, not exclusively, we are off to Punta Cana next month and it's on an ex Thomsonfly aircraft.

On the 757 with winlets,I saw one in Punta Cana from American Airlines they look good.
Please help. You very kindly previously informed me that my Flight TOM416 BHX-LXR is being operated by a 767 on the 9th September. I have booked into the premium cabin for this. For some reason, the premium cabin is not showing as available at any time during September and October when trying to book online and my local travel agent where I booked the holiday (First Choice) are unable to get any information from reservations or contracts at head office. Do you know if there stil is going to be a 767 with premium or has it reverted to a 757 (without)
Cheers

As you probably know, First Choice and Thomson(fly) have merged. The new airline commencing in May is Thomson Airways. There are 6x ex-FCA 767's and 7x ex-TOM 767's. They have chosen to keep the ex-FCA's for long haul and 3x of the ex-TOM, the others will be reverted back to short haul flying (328Y) so there'll be a mixed fleet. Certain flights will be assigned an ex-TOM, other ex-FCA based on demand for the route.

BHX-LXR-BHX (TOM416/7) is operated by a Boeing 767-300/ER throughout the summer season. I can't check on the actual aircraft assigned to the route as yet (ie whether it'll be a 283 or 328Y), I will be able to after May.
Darren
Thanks for clearing that up with me, I am glad I will get a chance to experience a First Choice long haul flight instead of Thomson for a change. Every-time I have flown Thomson long haul there TV system breaks and were left with nothing for the entire flight.
Click on my signature and you'll find a couple of recent cabin photos. The IFE system on the ex-FCA aircraft needs a reboot every now and then, but it's always been relible when I've used it.

Hi Can anyone tell me which aircraft we will be flying on on 6/4/09 TOM577 from BHX to CUN via MAN, and where the flight will come from prior to ours?
BHX-CUN-BHX (TOM577/8) are operated by a Thomsonfly Boeing 767-304/ER. You'll find aircraft information over on our What Aircraft? thread. The incoming flight operates BHX-LRM (La Romana, Dom Rep)-BHX (TOM401/2).

Helpful as always
I'm flying from Dublin on 18th June to Sharm, flight code TOM204/205 return. Can you tell what aircraft this will be, i.e a newly fitted out one/tv in headrest?? This is probably just wishful thinking on my part as i think this is perhaps only a feature for longhaul flights?
Many many thanks,
Flying From lgw to Sanford i have asked for the front row due to medical reasons resulting from a recent car crash Really just so that i cant be reclined on due to a knee operation and being rather tall for which i have letters from the hospital/surgeon to confirm this..
I understand this is just a request but how many of these seats are availablke for such reasons on long haul and are these the same seats they sell for extra leg room
Thanks for any help.....
Egypt is classed as medium haul and so usually uses short haul/long haul - short haul seating config. - aircraft. Your flight is operated by the Boeing 757-200 aircraft. These are equiped with televisions overhead in the aisle. For more information see the what aircraft? thread.
Alasdair
Many thanks for that, will check that out.
Welcome onboard
You'll find the What Aircraft thread here. As roboa mentions, Egypt is a short (mid) haul destination. The aircraft will have the Boeing enhanced interior after they were refurbished in 2004 so nice Recaro leather seats. Selected short haul destinations are operated by long haul aircraft, your flight isn't one of them I'm afraid.
Darren
Welcome onboard
If you have a genuine medical reason for requiring medical seats, unless someone with a higher priority than yourself requires them, you should get them. Seating cannot be gauranteed, but if you have medical notes to pove it, there's a good chance you'll get them. There's just one row of medical seats with extra legroom from memory.
Darren
Thanks again nice pictures of the cabins, first choices cabins look to have a little more space as they dont have 2-4-2 like thomsons. If I check closer to the time will someone be able to fill me in as to what aircraft have been operating the flight?
Apart from the location of the over-wing exits, the aircraft are identical so it won't make any difference which of them is assigned to your flight. I can let you know the registration a day or two before your flight if you're eager to know! Seat pitches are 33" on the ex-FCA and TOM, but the 7-abreasts seating gives you a bit more elbow room over the 8-abreast.
Darren
Yes very genuine and letters advising i require this unfortunately...
But of course if there are more serious cases thats totaly understandable..
Would this be the first bulkhead row in star class then..
Thanks again..
