we have got this one :- http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/cyprus/cy999.htm, changeover is 12.00pm but our flight does not arrive till 3.40pm and the day we leave we have to leave for the airport at 2.00pm so not a lot of time to waste, been told we can leave our luggage there, nip for a bit of lunch then off we go. Also getting picked up at the airport by an english couple who live there and do the airport run for customers of this villa.

The owner has said we could stay intil 3pm if there was not anyone due in but as it is August I guess they will be pretty full? 3pm would not be so bad as we could go for something to eat and then make our way to the airport and do some plane spotting.

You could leave eating until to you get to Larnaca, if you head just past the airport you arrive at a nice beach area Mackenzie (sp?) and there's a couple of nice restaurants overlooking the sea. Then you could head back to the airport a little later as your only 10 mins max away. We always do that if we have time to spare and it finishes the holiday nicely

I have now returned to looking at Paphos area with OD - maybe pay a bit more and get a more 'respectable' flight time.
Airlines are now charging to book 'hold' luggage. We normally pay for seast together - may give this a miss and take a chance?
I will get a holiday sorted.

We fly around 8 times a year. Have never ever paid to sit together and never been separated by more than an aisle. Mrs Pubdog still lives in hope

After weeks of trawling the net emailing propeties (some didn't reply), we have finally deided on a property near the tourist area of Coral Bay.
It is not to far from a beach (hubby and youngest son like snorkelling), we can walk to restaurants and a supermarket for supplies, so hopefully we will all be happy.
Flights - looks like we will try Viking Airways?? Any bad experiences with them - prices with so many airlines are just so expensive.
Again thanks for all your help, suggestions and no doubt I will be back on here soon for any tips.

Have had confirmations for flights and villa - quite excited with 16 weeks to go.
We did book Viking Airlines in the end and will see?
Bus service seems okay so hopefully get about - although we do plan to hire a car for a few days.
2 definate days out are to the Water Park and the Tomb of the Kings.
