Hello, a new poster on here. I've read alot of the posts, and hope someone will be able to help.
We fly from Gatwick to Sanford on 24/10 on TOM046 and return on 5/11 on TOM025. Is it too early to know if we will be on an ex First Choice or ex Thomsonfly 767?

Thanks

Jesp,

Welcome :tup

Flight TOM046 - Is Operated By An ex Thomsonfly Boeing 767-300
Flight TOM025 - It Is Too Early To Tell As That Is On Next Winters Schedule (Allthough It Will Most Probably Be Operated By An ex Thomsonfly Also)

Hi Gower

Thanks for the speedy reply. Much appreciated..... Is it worth reserving seats - we are a family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 10 and 7? Whilst I know they CAN split up families, I would hope that our kids are too young to sit separately!

Jesp,

They Try Not To Split Up Families, But If You Want Added Piece Of Mind Then It May Be Worth It, Allternativly You Could Select Which Seats You Want (Up to 6 Weeks In Advance)

Hiya,
We are travelling from Manchester to Marsa Alam on 13th May 2009 on TOM556 returning a week later on TOM557. Can anyone tell me which aircraft it will be and will it be a TOM or FC aircraft.
Many Thanks,
Anne

You will be on a 757, unlike long haul flights it doesn't really make much difference the interiors are virtually the same, both have leather seats and both have tv monitors in the aisle.

You are more likely to be on what was a First Choice 757 as your flight is designated to be one with winglets(and it was mainly the First Choice aircraft that had these fitted)

i want to sit next to a window, i know that one of us will be separated by an aisle.

jamie09,

Your flights are indeed operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. Seating is personal preference. The premium cabin is configured 2-3-2 so you might want to select the centre section to keep your party of 3 together. Which row doesn't really make a difference as thy are all the same.

jamie09,

Do not go for Row 9 as there is no window in AB or FG

Hi
Am travelling to Kittila in Lapland with my 4 year old grand-daughter on Dec 21st flight 35252 from Gatwick, Thomson Airways. Where would be the best place to sit with her for a good view and maybe a bit more legroom. I know we can't sit by the emergency exits. Any help would be great, am new to this forum

Welcome onboard :tup
You'll probably be travelling on a Boeing 737-800 (we can confirm it closer to the time). For more aircraft information (and my flight reviews to Kittila), refer to our What Aircraft? thread. Apart from extra legroom seating (rows 15 & 16; overwing exits), all the seats offer the same amount of seat pitch and don't really vary. Seating is personal preference as well. If you want good views out of the window that aren't obstructed by the wings, you're best sitting towards the front or rear. Anything aft of row 20 or forward of row 10 offers good views.

PS enjoy Lapland, it's a winter wonderland. I posted a few of my photos on the Lapland thread.

Hi All,

RickTT,

There are quite a few flights from MAN-SSH, most of which are operated by a Boeing 767-304/ER. They're using a 767-304/ER on Monday (TOM876/7), Tuesday (TOM442/3), Thursday (TOM572/3), Friday (1255, TOM772/3) and Sunday (TOM546/7). The early Friday (0800/0900, TOM576/7) flight is a 757-200 (winglets).

Afternoon Darren!!
It's that time of year again, I'm off to Aruba on 27/05/09 from Gatwick with first choice.
The flight details are Tom082 .
Is this going to be one of the old first choice planes or one of the Thomson ones?
I'm going Premium and am looking to see if I can pre-book specific seats that I know I used to be able to do with Thomson but not first choice.
Is this now possible now they've merged?? If so, What plane can I expect to be on??
Thanks as always for your help in advance mate!!
Jenksy.

Thanks Darren --

My parents are on the Sunday flight... so its the 767 -- Which is better than than the 757 for IFE.

Hi!

Just a couple of quick questions. Im flying off to Kefalonia from Gatwick on 12th July on TOM4714, returning a week later on TOM4715 and would like to know what aircraft I will be travelling on, (Personally hoping for an Airbus!)
Also, what are the standard of meals on Thomson Airways? Having travelled with First Choice Airways previously, the meals have always been very good.

Many thanks in advance.
