I am flying to Naples next Friday (8th May) from Manchester. Anyone know what aircraft it is?
daz1971,
they are 2 flights to naples on a friday are they both an A321 because earlier the flight from Naples flew over my house (i live literally next door to Manchester airport) and it looked to be a 737.
The A321's Are From The Former First Choice Fleet,
The Flight You Saw Today Was Indeed Operated By A Boeing 737, And It Was A One Off, (It Was Actually A Boeing 737-800 (Winglest))

Just returned from Monetgo Bay with TOM on one of their EX-FCA 767-3 and thought i would share this with you.......
On the outbound flight (TOM101), around 60 minutes into the flight 9hr flight as we had just passed the west coast of Ireland and above the Atlantic, a PAX decided it was a perfect time for him to go for a smoke in the rear toilets!!!!!
We were sat in row 23 and could smell it stright away as the PAX walked back past us, the PAX was in around row 20..
To cut a long story short, most of the cabin crew went around him demanding to know WHERE he had placed his "fag end" while the rest of crew where searching in the toliets, the PAX's response as to were the "fag end" was him just shugging his shoulders saying, "dunno"... leave me alone".... "dunno".... "dunno"...
Around 10 minutes later, the pilot came onto the PA system explaining the servitiy of smoking in toilets providing an example of when you was allowed to smoke in the 70's/80's, you were still not allowed to smoke in the toilets due to all the risks invloved...
The pilot put out a real strong example of what would happen "using your imagination" if we had a fire over the Atlantic and had to ditch...
The whole episode shook up some PAX's on the charter service, full of family's going on holiday...
On a positive note.. every signal PAX on the flight monitored the guys movements for the next 8 hours and cabin crew inspected the toilets the second after he used them on the flight.
How many other people have been on a flight were this happened??
Im hoping this guy gets fined big time when he returns to the UK as nothing happened when he landed @ MBJ.
Just thought i would share this with you.
Rick

I wish it wasn't the case but legally nothing can be done to this individual, there has to be two witnesses actually see him smoking even if he had a extinguished fag end in his hand wouldn't be enough unfortunately. If anything was to happen it would of by now or at least in MBJ airport.
These idiots don't know what potential risk they are putting themselves and others in, especially on a transatlantic flight. There have been more fire related incidents since the abolished smoking than before.
You Will Be On A Boeing 767-300 (Short Haul Configured),
TV's Are Located Overhead In The Aisles

thanks gower
You asked me to get back to you in May so here goes.......!!!! I'm off to Dalaman on 13/7/09 at 18:25 flight no TOM304/5 from Manchester. Could you please tell me the type of aircraft i will definately be flying on...?? Also could you tell me where my flight comes from so i can track it ? Got an evening flight so don't want a delay.....!!
Thank you in advance you all do a great job....
All the best Nance.......!!!
10 more weeks......
MAN-DLM-MAN (TOM304/5) is operated by a Boeing 737-8K5 (winglets). You'll find more information on the What aircraft? thread. I haven't got the movements prior to your flight to hand at the moment as I've been playing on Concorde all afternoon!
Darren
what an utter twonk with regards to the individual caught fagging in the toilets, i would have poured a bucket of water over his head just to make sure he was, indeed, ''fully extinguished'' what a pleb
Thanks for your help with the check in, seat booking etc.
I spoke with Thomsonfly today and booked the actual seats. Now I can relax....I think.
pilotcanary,
Can anyone tell me if i would be able to check in the night before i fly? im travelling from birmingham to the domincan republic on saturday 23rd may but as im from middlesbrough will be stopping over in a hotel the night before, if i could check in the night before would this mean i could prebook my seats early and not have to check in as early on saturday morning?
