Hi

Just about to book Man - Punta Cana 20/01/10 1000hrs flight on what I think is a Thomson flight - have decided against upgrading as 33" leg room seems adequate - is it too early to know whether it will be a Thomson or a First choice flight - and how early can I phone Thomson flights to pre-book seats - as I really do hate to sit in rows with other people - I always feel guilty asking them to move - where as HB I can just pinch his elbow room. ;).

Technically we live nearer Gatwick than Manchester but get home quicker if we fly home from Manchester as this is one of the refueling loading/unloading passenger type of flights.

Any help.

huskypup,

Your flights are operated by Thomson Airways. It's too early to know what specific aircraft will be assigned to what flight as yet. Aircraft specification is pretty similar, it's just the former Thomsonfly aircraft have an extra seat in each row (slightly less elbow room). You can book seating 6 weeks before your flight currently. They should have rolled this out to include online booking by then.

I have another question re: our flight if you guys can help please.
We have booked seats 3A and 3B for our flight: MAN-BVC 11May09 TOM216/217.
I believe this will be a 757? Do you know from the seating layout, will we be able to view the overhead tv screens as these
seats are close to the front?

Thanks,
Jason

JasonMack,

MAN-BVC-MAN (TOM216/7) are indeed operated by a Boeing 757-200 (winglets). You'll be able to see the screen ok (flip down LCD on those), it's located above row 1.

LGW-SSH-LGW (TOM652/3) are operated by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-304/ER (328Y, short haul). You'll find further information on out What Aircraft? thread. The former First Choice aircraft are used on long haul flights.

Hi
I'm wondering what plane I will be on flying from DUB to SSH on Thursday 7th May with Thompson Airways. Any links to the actual seating plan would be great and I would love to know if there are any upgrades available to book.

Cheers

DUB-SSH-DUB (TOM204/5) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. You'll find further aircraft details including a seating plan on our What Aircraft? thread. The aircraft are all economy so no upgrades other than extra legroom seating.

My wife and me have just booked 2 weeks in Orlando with Thomson. We managed to get premium upgrade seats for £99 each and are in row 2.
I just wondered what type of plane we will be on and are they good seats ? I cant find a thomson seat plan on seatguru. The flight is TOM 050 from LGW to Sanford on the 29th May 2009.
Thanks in advance

tones1966,

LGW-SFB-LGW (TOM050/1) are operated by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-304/ER (283 seats, Long Haul config). Refer to our What Aircraft? thread for more details. Thomson Airways don't have an online seating plan, you might be lucky enough to get the correct one when you get your ticket booklet. The aircraft have 31 premium seats (rows 1-5) located in the forward cabin. Seating is always personal preference, I'm sure you'll find them fine.

Didn't get a seat plan with our tickets for Jamaica on 19th May.
Have booked row 7 A&B anyway.
Darren - any ideas where the aircraft is coming in from (sorry - seems to be the hot question at the momment!).
Have also noticed that there's now a Fri flight to Jamaica from LGW - assume this is to take people who have re-booked from Mexico - was surprised to see just how many flights the company have got routinely going to Cancun (or Cozumel).

rhodgreen,

You normally get a page in the ticket booklet with a seating plan, but they tend to get sent out at random and I've hardly ever had the right one for the aircraft I know we are on. They may have stopped doing it now with the differing configurations and inaccuracies. I can't be 100% on the inbound flight for yours as yet as I can't backtrack at the moment with it being the first week of the summer season. As you mention, there's been a few changes with the Mexico situation as well which complicates things. However, it's looking like the aircraft operating TOM030/1 comes in from Holgiun, Cuba (TOM094/5).
