Hello, am so excited, our tickets are here and go in just under 2 weeks. Can anyone tell me if the moths will be there at this time of year? We are there from 17 June until 1 July so if we have a better chance of seeing them by leaving it until the second week that would be worth knowing.
Also if they are not there yet is it still worth a trip there?
thanks so much
I think you're staying in Lindos? If so the easiest way of getting there is by hire car. You can take a bus into Rhodes Town and then back out to the butterflies but a car is much quicker and allows you to check out a bit more of the island.
thats great, thank you. We are planning to hire a car for probably a week so we'll plan to do that then.
The butterflies are well worth a visit just try and time it so you do not get caught up with the coach tours.
thank you! So when would be the best time of day? First thing or last I am guessing.
So that would have put it at around 2pm-ish. Most coach trips appear to start around 9 in the morning, stop at the chosen attraction around 11. Herd them all back on again a couple of hours later and drop them off mid to late afternoon.
