touchy touchy will definitely not go down well in Greece they are a fairly devout lot, but on the other hand they are pragmatist and will like anyone who is spending cash, in some of the party towns , its not unusual to see young ladies holding hands when walking along.. in my opinion you will be fine

I second what Wizard says. I think I'm right in saying you are staying in Rhodes town? There is a gay bar in Orfanidou (Bar st.) street called the Berlin Bar.A very discreet frontage but you'll see the flag flying. Have a great holiday on a fabulous island.

Thanks for your honesty. We're staying in trianda. We will be keeping it low key. We're not into mad blazing disco's and partiying. Our perfect night out, is a good restaurant, with good food, wine and conversation, just watching the world pass by, just relaxing, that's why we love the greek isle, so layed back. I dont mean it to sound offensive, but we're not butch. -Not that there is anything wrong with that atall- its just not who we are. So we dont get any problems anyway when we're not showing any signs of affection, no-one has a clue.

from how you have described yourselves then you wont even be noticed , i also have gay frined sand are very much like you , not touchy feely in company . you will have a great time , and i think be surprised by how many discreet gay couple's are there .

we were in Kefaos in Kos last year, and yes there were quite a few couples about, we had a blast there.
20 days and counting!!! Like I said just need to get a spa day sorted now.

Tipsy I left a link for the spa at Atrium Palace in Ixia, don't know if you've seen it. There are prices on there too.

You'll be absolutely fine, the locals are a pretty chilled out bunch and in my experience Rhodes is very gay friendly as long as you're respectful and not ripping each other's clothes off in public You might get the odd tut or whisper from other holidaymakers (if they even realise) but i can't see you having anything to worry about.

You could check out Berlin Bar on Orfandinou and see what you think but there are MUCH nicer places to go for a drink and nobody will bat an eyelid. It's quite a dark and seedy place and puts me in mind of what a gay bar must have been like in the UK years ago

Ha I know what you mean!! In fact, quite a few of them dark places still exist, though mainly in the male section!
Thanks for the hint on the berlin bar though, maybe we'll just walk past, cautiously and take a sneeky peek.
But we dont go to the greek isles for that type of place any-way, just the opposite, bit of peace and quite, good food, good wine and we're happy bunnys
