yep TC prices are based solely on the brochure prices because there are no discounts added! To be fair, TC have quoted me brochure price for the hotel I want to go to, half board 4* on CDS, 13th June 09 for 1 week, £539 per adult WITHOUT discounts, DH have quoted me for 3* hotel half board on CDS, same week £649 per adult INCLUDING discounts...so I think it's safe to say I'm going with TC!!
Even without discounts £6000 for the royal wing is high by brochure price compared to last year. With discounts maybe £5000 
I can't see them selling many holidays if the prices are going to be so high. DH qouted me over double than what I am paying this year for the same hotel similar date of travel, early august.
If the online prices are steep I will do DIY to sharm, pricing costs tour op this year compared to DIY and the DIY are coming out over a £1000 cheaper.

does anyone have any idea how much TC deposits will be? Mr bank manager lied and I can't get an extension on my overdraft, even though he said I could! So now I'm panicking about paying a deposit, because I know DH is only £41pp which I could have tackled, but if TC is gonna be £100ish, as it is online at the minute for this year, I'm gonna have a problem!
TC normally do a low deposit scheme, the DH in the past have said you have to pay the rest of the deposot 8 weeks after booking.
TC deposits are usually £25pp depending on the holiday you book with nothing else to pay until 8 weeks before you go. Not sure if it will be the same for summer 2010. 
I phoned First Choice today and they have advised me that all their hols will be released on 25th June and that their stores will be open until 8pm for anyone wishing to pop in and get some brochures or to book.

god I sooo hope its no more than £50pp, everything about my holiday for 2010 has gone a*se over t*t this week, first DH telling me they're not doing the hotel I want for next year, therefore I had to go to TC for it, so that threw the whole £41pp deposit out of the water!!

I rang First Choice today and got some prices from their file copy brochure. They are not handing out the brochures until Friday. Susesi £1509 per adult in August and Delphin Diva £1575 per adult. Aint gonna be cheap! This is obviously without the discounts. Susesi is a platinum holiday which means extra luggage, seats together etc.,. so probably no free child. This is from the Thomson brochure btw.
The susesi is well expensive with them, all FC and thomson holidays are pricey, thomson wanted £6500 compared to £4000 I paid with direct.
Wow - what a price difference. However, I priced up Ocean Sands in Dominican Republic and Thomsons - unusually - were cheaper! Today, though, they are not!!!! Amazing how these prices move on a daily or even hourly basis sometimes

Thanks for that link ... good idea! I rang Direct Holidays again last night and got quite a good quote for Royal Dragon pricing my son as a child - he actually got a free child place (going earlier in August before he turns 13). Much cheaper than the quote they gave me last week!

£5116 (4 adults) but the price for 3 adults, 1 child was very similar - can't remember what she said now - this was leaving mid-August and with discounts.
Quote just now is £4352 leaving on a good flight from Gatwick first 2 weeks of August. That's in the family room, so could be cheaper if you're happy in the standard larger room. She is ringing back to confirm this is definitely the duplex room set-up. £49 extra to sit together. DH also give you 20kg luggage. I really like to browse around myself, comparing dates etc, so am looking forward to the prices going live (hopefully tomorrow).

chris I was quoted £4300 4 adults last 2 weeks of september same day as you so hoping for better price on thursday and have good look at different hotels.

Hi Chris, remember that it is the age of the child upon return so make sure you come back before his 13 birthday or he will be classified as an adult

Yes and I am hoping the prices are not too expensive, anyway I just had a live chat on the TC web and the guy I was chatting to said that the 2010 holidays will be available from midnight tonight, if I'm to eager to wait until the morning I might try and price one tonight (sad I know), just so that I can go around the different TA tomorrow for the best price
Really wish they were out now, am sick of waiting. Just want to look at prices and free kids etc.
