Hi

We are flying Thomson Manchester to Cancun on 02.08.09.

Does anyone know from where this flight comes in from so we can monitor its progress into Manchester.

thanks

snowyboy,

That's correct. Two of the former Thomsonfly 767's that were used on long haul duties are being reconfigured for short haul (328Y) due to the knock-on effects from swine flu, as per my post on the previous page to chrissfhl / z.j.c. Only G-OBYI (283 seats, no change in configuration) and the 6x former First Choice aircraft will be used on long haul from the next week or two.

jonboywirral,

Please post flight numbers when you can. MAN-CUN-MAN (TOM144/5) is currently operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER, changed from a former Thomsonfly. As you may have seen on recent posts, there are changes being made to aircraft movements at the moment. Under the new schedule, the previous flight to TOM144/5 is currently TOM152/3 (MAN-Cozumel-MAN). You might want to ask again closer to the time to double check.

Hey,
Loved Cancun that much were going back again in the middle of July.
Was wondering if someone can help me,
Will TOM196/7 still be on the First Choice plane if not what other flights are?

simonjones377,

TOM196/7 was a former Thomsonfly aircraft up to the middle of June, it's now been changed to a former First Choice (Boeing 767-300/ER).

mak70,

Keep a lookout over the next few days, BY-TOM-FCA-AMM normally posts the listing (July / August) when it becomes available at the end of the month.

Summer or winter? There's nothing showing for summer 2010 as yet.

With all the aircraft changes, does anyone know whether TOM126/127 are still likely to be operated with the last remaining long-haul ex Thomsonfly, or whether they are now due to be operated with an ex FCA plane?

Many thanks,
Paul

Hi Darren, re your post detailing the ex Thomsonfly 767 fleet changing to short haul from long haul. Do you know what is happening
to G-OBYJ, will that be remaining a long haul configuration?

Thanks,
Jason

JasonMack,

The information I have is only G-OBYI (based at MAN) will remain in the long haul configuration. The rest of the former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-304/ER's will be in the 328Y short haul. It hasn't happened yet, but is being implemented over the next week or two.
