Photos here of cabin interior seating 2-3-2

First Choice and Thomsonfly have merged to create Thomson Airways. Because of that, the former First Choice aircraft are now part of the fleet. Your flights are operated by one of the former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER's (up until the middle of June it would have been a former Thomsonfly!). These have 9 rows of premium seats instead of 5 on the former Thomsonfly aircraft. You'll find all the aircraft information and photos on our What Aircraft? guide.

Thank you both very much indeed.
Now I have a query, flown Long Haul with Thomsons last four times on the same planes. Premium cabin was always 5 rows.
Have you used row 5 previously on one of your trip? Is it ok for reclining etc with the curtain and not a wall?
With regard to reclining, the curtain comes down to the top of the back of the seat, so you wouldn't have any problem reclining at all.
Regarding flights to Florida not being changed this year , I am certain I was told my aircraft would be ex-first choice (TOM 114/5 on 21st. May) . It turned out to be ex-thomson. No problems though as we we were in row 2 A,B,C,D,E. (premium). If we were in economy it would have been 2-4-2 and not 2-3-2. Check-in at the gate said there had been no change when I asked.!
Reclining your seat isn't a problem as there's enough room behind and the curtain rest on the back of the seat.

A few long haul flights have changed from former Thomsonfly aircraft to former First Choice. TOM114/5 is one example; it was a Thomsonfly up until the middle of June, it's now a former First Choice. This is due to some of the long haul configured former Thomsonfly aircraft being reverted to short haul duties. In the next week or two, there'll be 6x former First Choice aircraft and 1x former Thomsonfly (G-OBYI) assigned to long haul (reduced from 3x former TOM), the remaining 6 former Thomsonfly aircraft are assigned to short haul (328Y) configuration, up from 4 aircraft. All but two of the short haul 767's have seat back IFE (G-OBYF/H). G-OBYI will be based in Manchester operating flights to Varadero, Puerto Plata, some Sanford (Orlando), Aruba and some Cancun. This is because of the knock-on effects after swine flu with less demand on some long haul routes, and greater demand on some mid-haul (increasing capacity on flight originally scheduled to be operated by 757's).

FLIGHT NUMBER- TOM406 FROM EMA TO SSH- 3RD DECEMEBER 09
RETURNING TOM 406 FROM SSH TO EMA- 10TH DECEMBER 09
Thank you
Welcome onboard
It's a little early, I don't have the Winter flight schedule yet. I would assume it'll be the same as Winter 08; Boeing 737-800. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide.

Thanks for the info. I hope my flight stays ex TOM (TOM126 MAN-PUJ) as I have done FCA and fancy trying the TOM with the touch screen etc but it aint a bad replacment if it is a ex FCA.
The touchscreens are ok (similar to what the My Travel A332's have), but they tend to get scratched after a while and finger marks all over them. In that respect, I prefer the remote controls on the ex-FCA birds. TOM126/7 is currently an ex-TOM, however thing are changing on some flights at the moment (see my post above). I suspect your flight might be one that changes in the next week or two to an ex-FCA.

I will be flying from Dublin to Lanzarote on August 17th this year with Thomson airways, does anyone know or have any idea what type of aircraft they use for this? Any help would be great.
Welcome onboard
DUB-ACE-DUB (TOM1132/3) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide.

Hey sorry I made a mistake im still getting use to all the information I am looking at, tend to make mistakes a couple of times so sorry about that. Premium on both the aircraft are the same exepect for seat pitch as you get the extra 1" on the EX Thomson aircraft. As Dazbo mentions there has been a few changes which don't always show up on the information. Hope you had a nice time in Flordia looking forward to my holiday in Cancun on the 21st
does anyone know whether if you book row 1 in premium economy(goint gatwick to cancun) whether these seats have the tv in the armrest or on the bulkhead? and is the toilet on the AB or FG side of the plane
thanks
I have just been advised that the flight for our holiday to Florida on 24/10/09 (TOM046), returning on 5/11/09(TOM025) has been cancelled. Thomson are now trying to offer me alternatives for more money. Any idea why this is, and if I have any grounds for compensation. I have already booked and paid for a hotel and parking package at Gatwick at £130.
Thanks
TV in Arm rest Toilet is in front past exit door on side AB see photos on post 397
Refer to my post to chrissfhl / z.j.c on the previous page. There have been some changes to the flight schedule due to the knock-on effects of swine flu. Given it is a forced changed in your booking, I would try and hold out for an alternative at no cost. If the alternative is of greater value, then it's reasonable they ask for the difference in price. However if there's no other alternative and that's all they've got to offer, if they insist on the price difference then all you can do it pay the difference or accept a full refund.
